Established in 2008, Metaltech uk is a highly experienced and well-respected metal fabrication company with a proven track record in the design, supply

and installation of high quality carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium fabrications to various diverse industries and clients throughout the UK.

Based in East Central Scotland, we are a privately owned business with a highly skilled workforce of over 40 employees, operating from a modern 26,000

sq ft facility comprising a purpose built carbon steel workshop and a standalone ‘clean’ workshop to facilitate all stainless steel and aluminium fabrications,

thus ensuring there is no potential for cross contamination between products.

Our objective is to assist our customers in developing products to meet their ever increasing quality and functional requirements whilst minimising costs

At Metaltech uk, our policy of continuous improvement is achieved by investing in our employees, machinery and IT systems, to improve the efficiency

of product manufacture and shop floor control.

The high levels of service required by our customers is maintained through our Quality Management System which monitors all the key areas of the

business to ensure that the quality of our products matches our customers’ expectations whilst achieving on-time delivery. Our Management System

has been officially accredited to ISO 9001:2008 by DNV-GL and is subject to twice yearly audits.

Our commitment to quality is further demonstrated by our BBA certified Factory Production Control and Welding Quality Management System which

allows us to CE mark structural steel components to EXC3 in accordance with EN 1090.

Our welders hold a range of codings, tested and approved by a UKAS accredited laboratory. These qualifications ensure that our welding quality and

productivity is excellent and also complies with the European standards for welding competence.

About Us



The Company offers comprehensive fabrication facilities located on

the outskirts of Dundee close to the main road network, and within

3 miles from the deep water berths at Dundee Port.

The workshops are 13,000 sq ft for carbon steel fabrication, and a

separate dedicated 13,000 sq ft clean facility for stainless and

exotics. Both workshops have overhead craneage, with full

coverage in the carbon steel facility, plus yard space for laydown

and offload.

In addition to extensive welding equipment for all the weld

processes covered (FCAW, GTAW, GMAW and SMAW), the

workshops are equipped with multiple saw stations, press brakes,

CNC punching station, metal-workers, plate rolls, polishing and

cleaning stations and portable LEV.

These facilities allow the company to work on almost any type of

fabrication, from highly polished architectural work, to structural

fabrications, pipework and subsea fabrications, in materials

including mild steel, stainless steel, RQT, 4130, Duplex, Inconel,

Cunifer and aluminium.

To support the fabrication processes we operate an in-house

design and draughting facility working in AutoCAD 3D and Tekla.

This allows us to generate highly accurate fabrication and

installation drawings, as well as 3D models which can be produced

for Navisworks and Tekla BIMsight viewers for client comment and

use. As part of the design service we carry out laser surveys on any

type of site.

Utilising a diverse range of materials, Metaltech uk creates

functional stairway designs, from traditional to the most

Our staircases can be internal or external, and range from

the most basic steel, to prestigious centrepieces in

Metaltech uk are capable of fabricating almost any structural

steel element and have provided high-quality structural

fabrications to both the construction industry and private

sector.

We pride ourselves on our ability to produce precise and cost-

effective structural steel fabrications. Whether you require an

extension, building support, roofing steelwork or a footbridge,

our extensive experience in the steel fabrication industry

means that we are well placed to offer professional advice and

clear guidance on any project.

Working from our well-equipped workshop we are capable of

undertaking almost any bespoke steel fabrications – and

working in-house, we are able to ensure that from the initial

design through to final installation, all our steel fabrications

adhere to the highest standards and undergo strict quality

control. We are certified up to and including EXC3 in

accordance with the requirements of EN1090 for CE marking

structural steel.

Committed to providing our clients with the highest quality

service, our steel erectors are CITB accredited under the

Construction Skills Certification Scheme, and our welders hold

finish, each piece is individually made to measure, any curves

and bends are precisely created in our workshop to make sure

they are an exact fit. Our skilled operatives ensure that any

weld joins are carefully polished out so that finished

balustrades will have no visible joins and will appear to be

made from a single piece of stainless steel.

Oil & Gas Sector

Metaltech uk service the needs of leading companies within the oil

and gas sector with a wide range of fabrication services in materials

such as carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, 4130, RQT/S690 and

aluminium.

We operate a stringent quality management system, demonstrated by

our DNV-GL ISO 9001 accreditation, plus our Factory Production

Control and Welding Quality Management certification which allows us

to CE mark fabricated structural steel in accordance with the

requirements of EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834.

As part of our production process we offer a comprehensive suite of

weld procedures which are constantly under development to ensure

The process is a patented chemical reaction called the micelle

phenomenon. This is not a suspension system of metal

particles floating in a polymer paint system. The molecules of

the binder wrap around each particle of metal. When you

atomize the liquid metal, you are not atomizing the polymer

carrying the metal particle; instead you are atomizing the metal

particle carrying just enough polymer binder to act as an

adhesive.

The patented cold metalizing process can be applied through a

range of techniques suitable to the application. These include

sprayed on, rolled on, hand applied or poured on to create

different textures and finishes. It may also be cast.

Cold sprayable metalizing techniques and process promote a

healthier environment, cleaner air, water and conservation of

natural resources. This patented cold sprayable metalizing

process was developed as a cost effective and environmentally

sound alternative to solid cast foundry pieces and forgings as

well as an alternative to metallic paints, coatings, and finishes.

The metalizing process reduces VOC’s, disposable liquid

waste, consumption of natural resources and consumption of

energy.

Composite Metal is a cold alloy process and therefore,

produces no burn pollution. Foundries burn resources (literally).

Tremendous heat must be generated to keep metal in a molten

state and whether that heat is generated using coal, oil, gas or

other combustibles, those resources go up in flames.

Additionally, the pollution generated from the burn is

tremendous, as well as the out-gassing of pollutants from the

molten metals.

Metaltech uk take this opportunity to introduce you to a new

process of cold sprayable metal technology. A revolutionary

product that not only “changes the way the world works with metal”

but has a major impact on the coatings industry as well. Prior to

the development of this technology, there were very limited choices

in both the aesthetic and industrial industries. Before the advent of

this composite metal the only options were paint or solid metal.

Aesthetic market coatings never achieved the perceived value

desired and solid metal was too expensive and heavy. Industrial

coatings lost much of its protection capabilities because of

necessary reformulation requirements due to environmental

regulations.

have documented ASTM testing with zero

breakdown equivalent to 30 years.

to be the most desirable.

known substances which it cannot be applied to are

silicone, unsealed Styrofoam, Teflon and some

and, with the exception of Iron, all metals are non-

are real metals and do not crack, chip nor peel, and they can

withstand 2,364 psi without pulling away from the substrate.

Composite metals are non-corrosive, non-conductive of
