A World of Wonders is a family-friendly television series that allows viewers to become armchair travellers on a trip around the world. A World of Wonders takes a fun approach to social studies, geography, science, adventure and natural history. Under the tutelage of a web-master, our host Cari criss-crosses the globe in search of the many awesome sights and civilizations that make our world so unique. A World of Wonders is the ultimate learning odyssey, with fun at every turn.

Episode 2 - Sunday January 24th at 12.50pm

Painted and petrified…on instruction from the ‘Web-master’, the intrepid Cari journeys to Arizona to create a red and yellow masterpiece in the incredible ‘Painted Desert’. Off to find where the ‘dinosaurs roam’, Cari takes off to the ‘Petrified Forest’ with a local paleontologist where she learns the trees within the forest have turned to stone with age.

Episode 3 - Monday January 25th at 11.50am

Cari heads to the wild regions of Argentina to get soaked from both up high and down below, exploring South America’s famously stunning Iguacu Falls. Taken by train to the ‘devils throat’, Cari learns where there is smoke doesn’t necessarily mean there is fire…it’s actually water in this case.

What are the origins of the Aztec Empire? This fascinating episode steps back in time to discover this civilization and its capital city Tenochtitlan, built on a raised island with canals for the 250,000 inhabitants to travel on. Did you know it was the Aztecs who first discovered the many foods we take for granted…chocolate, corn, beans, chili and avocado? The Aztec people also enjoyed the taste of worms and insects. The Aztecs also devised the idea of ‘chinampas’ – man-made artificial islands used to grow crops.

Episode 18 – The Aztecs Part 2 Tuesday January 26 at 12.00pm

Continue the journey through the Aztec empire with the second part of this intriguing series, and learn how the Aztecs recorded their battles using deer skins and cotton sheets. With no alphabet, this civilization used drawings to keep their records. They also had a passion for poetry – using this as a means of war, historical, religious and romantic communication. The Aztec people were also known for devising unique calendars to anticipate the best time to plant crops and expect dramatic changes in the weather.

Sweat is set at the fictional Sports West Academy (SWA) and the series was a launching pad for the careers of some now famous Australian actors including Health Ledger- who plays a gay cyclist Snowy Bowles - Martin Henderson (Tom Nash) and Simon Baker (Paul Stedman).

The gruelling routine, the temptations, the intense competition, the frantic action and the euphoria of a personal best provide an exciting and dynamic visual backdrop. The everyday relationships, disappointments, families, school and rivalries of these talented young athletes are in sharp contrast to the tremendous pressures and unique demands of the international sporting world.

Episode one: Saturday January 30 at 11.45am

Tom (Martin Henderson), the swimmer who never loses, has to come to terms with the fact that over-confidence lost him the race. He learns his lesson, but it damages his relationship with his girlfriend Tats (Inge Hornstra).

Episode two: Saturday January 30 at 12.15pm

Tom (Martin Henderson) challenges new boy Noodle (Tai Nguyen) to a race. He wins and his honour is restored. What he doesn’t realise is that Noodle deliberately threw the race, knowing that Tom needed to win more than he did.

The most powerful object in the universe, the Infinity Sword, has been shattered in a battle between Iron Man and Dr. Doom. But Doom doesn't give up easily, he'll leave no stone unturned until he recovers every last shard. Iron Man snags the best heroes around to beat Doom at his own game: Wolverine, Hulk, Thor, Silver Surfer and The Falcon. The fact that these big guns are also loose cannons who may not play well together is not the sort of thing that occurs to Iron Man. Nor does he see any problem in cramming a grouchy loner, a gamma-green tantrum machine, a bombastic thunder god, a naïve alien and a prank-pulling speedster on their flying Helicarrier headquarters. But with friends like Captain America and Ms. Marvel and tons of other heroes helping out, Iron Man proves he can lead the Super Hero Squad to victory!

Episode 9: Night in the Sanctorum - Saturday January 30 at 5.30pm

When the Helicarrier is embarrassingly smashed, the heroes need to find a place to crash. The team proves none too welcome at Stark Industries, the Punisher’s battle van and Reptil’s bedroom. Dr. Strange takes them in but they dread a creepy, wacky night in his Sanctum Sanctorum. And thanks to the Enchantress, there is even more magical mayhem.

Kratt Bros: Be The Creature

Knowing that the best way to understand a creature is to ‘Be The Creature’, the Kratt Brothers (Chris and Martin) throw themselves into the wild lifestyles of animals. In each episode of this new series, the Kratt brothers actually live with the animals in fascinating and exciting adventures direct from the creature world!

With only minimalist survival gear and their camera equipment, Chris and Martin travel to remote wilderness areas to experience the world as the animals do. They prowl the Amazon's interior as part of a pack of giant otters, they travel through the treetops as the slowest, and least graceful members of a chimpanzee troop. They live like the animals live in order to capture a thrill-charged and experiential view of animal lives that have never been seen before.

Episode 8 –Chimpanzees – Sunday January 24 at 12.00pm

The Kratt Brothers travel to Uganda to compare the life of chimpanzees in the wild with those whose parents have been killed and are being raised in a chimpanzee 'orphanage' at the Ngomba Island Sanctuary. From the sanctuary to the wilderness of Ngogo and Kibale Forest, the Kratt Brothers follow two troops of chimpanzees to observe the life of Man's closest relatives.
