Monday, 19 July 2010 NEW SERIES/WEEKDAYS AT 6.05AM

Following its success on the ABC Kid’s website, Shaolin Wuzang has now been given the opportunity to capture the imaginations of ABC3’s television audience. Set in Ancient China, three teenagers (Hua, Chang and Tang) are admitted into the most prestigious school of kung fu: the Temple of Shaolin. But they don't know that they are the reincarnations of three Shaolin monks who, a thousand years earlier, gave their lives to neutralise the worst demon. This demon is back now and our three heroes will have to destroy it while initiating themselves into the art of kung fu.

Episode 2: Hangman's Swamp - Monday July 19 at 6.05am Sanzang (the Grand Master) has been poisoned and will die without an antidote. Hua, Chang and Tang volunteer to find the main ingredient for the cure that will save Sanzang: a flower that only grows on Hangman's tree. Our heroes must confront a giant snake living in the murky waters of a swamp, the hanging dead that guard the miraculous flower and then the murderer who has poisoned Sanzang and two other Shaolin Masters.

Episode 3: Kwaï Gonjin - Tuesday July 20 at 6.05amA dishevelled, old man dressed in rags, using a secret passage, slips inside the Shaolin monastery. After a long and arduous quest, this man has found the Second Book of Power and is bringing it to the Grand Master! Sanzang recognises the old man as his childhood friend, together they had travelled all over China in search of the Second Book of Power. Believing his friend was dead, Sanzang returned to the monastery and eventually became Grand Master. Has this mysterious man really found the book? Or have the years spent wandering the earth permanently troubled his mind?

The Tribe

The series follows a group of teenagers searching for answers about a deadly virus that has wiped out all the adults on earth. With no adults to guide, rule or protect them, the children of the world are on their own. Living in a world of anarchy, confusion, danger and fear the children must do all they can to survive. The series begins with the various tribes being held hostage by The Chosen, a tribe striving for absolute control and power.

Will The Chosen achieve their quest for dominance? Together, the Rebels led by Bray (Dwayne Cameron), Lex (Caleb Ross) and Ebony (Meryl Cassie) and the Gaians; Eagle (Beth Allen) and Pride (Nick Miller) will continue to provide the children of tomorrow with a sustainable and meaningful future.

As The Chosen gain more power and control, the Rebels can only hope that the captured Mall Rats are safe and will not succumb to the pressures of joining The Chosen.
