Promoting Enterprise – Creating Employment

Hi Young Entrepreneurs!!Or

Hi Job Seekers!!How would you like me to address you?

Confused ??????

Well, then you need to know this first.

According to the latest ILO statistics there are currently 73 million youth

unemployed, accounting for more than 50% youth unemployment in many

countries.

Across the world, there are currently 1.8 billion young people, of which two thirds

of those are underemployed.

According to Ministry of Labour & Employment, In India the unemployment rate

is 5.2% (of Total Population) and youth unemployment is 18% (of Youth Population)

There are currently 10.3 million young people in India looking for employment.

Young entrepreneurs around the globe urge G20 leaders to take action

against youth unemployment.

Their objective is to formulate strategies to reduce unemployment below

10% by 2030, and install youth entrepreneurship as a solution to

unemployment in the post 2015 United Nations Millennium Development

Goals.

Youth Entrepreneurship as

a solution….

When asked about their main frustrations, in a survey conducted by

Ernst & Young with 1000 young entrepreneurs across G20

countries-

73% say access to funding remains difficult in their countries.

51% of entrepreneurs would also like to see government programs

that provide education, funding and raised profiles, which they

believe could have a big impact.

Challenges to Youth

Entrepreneurship:

affordable finance to SMEs and develop regulations to accommodate the

development of new innovative forms of financing.

Promote close cooperation between the business and education sector

education system

Support the United Nations and ensure there is a major goal in the UN post 2015
