A new club... And a great concept for Lakeside!

Imagine... a nightclub right here at Lakeside! They had a “quiet opening” on Saturday night past and it was well booked but a damn little cloud went over and a lot didn’t fulfill their reservations... that was the ONLY show that will not have presale tickets. Mark Rome is the guy that put the Piano Rojo together down at the foot of Colon... many successful shows there and great crowds... But this is bigger and better! I was talking to Mark the other day and he said that he loved doing the shows at the Auditorium but 450 seats is a big sell in this area... but he’s got great seating for around 120 and with the acts he’s booking he won’t be

having any troubles with sell outs. And remember... you won’t be seeing any of these acts around town for “no cover” either... that absolutely kills more bands than you will ever know. I’ve been working to get many of the locals to stop taking jobs for tips, food or worse yet... nothing! Yup!... the entertainment at Lakeside has just moved up a whole bunch and that’s super in my books! Look them up on Facebook!

REQUEST FOR PLAYS & DIRECTORS

If you would like to put forward a play to be read and considered for production next season, please submit the name of the play by August 15. If you wish to be considered as a director for a play next season, please identify yourself as such when you submit a play or musical you wish to direct. You may submit up to three plays or musicals. Plays

other than those submitted will also be considered in the selection process by the PRC.

To be considered to direct at LLT you must state that you meet LLT’s qualifications: you have been a director or assistant director at LLT; or you have a verifiable resume of directing accomplishments elsewhere. Your ownership of a submitted play ends at the end of the season for which it was submitted. If your play is not selected you may formally resubmit the play at the request for submissions for the following season. We would like to hear from you sooner rather than later so please make any submissions prior to August 15th.
