A Message from the President
All of the musicians of the Sharon Bands are excited to begin our
2011-2012 season.
Our focus has remained the same, we will perform challenging,
inspirational, and innovative works, carefully selected by our music
director, Steve Bell. What has changed is our commitment to present
our music at the highest levels possible, including a new state of the
art sound system and technical improvements set in place by our
sound engineers.
Now in our 24th season, our mission is both broad in scope and
depth. The challenge for excellence is our mantra and the musical
journey is unending.
The band appreciates your loyal support throughout the year, and as
musicians who are out nights in rehearsal, we couldn’t do it alone,
without the support of our families and friends; we are so grateful.

support to our wonderful sponsors. Word of mouth is the best form
of advertising and we place this in your hands. I hope you enjoy the
concert and please pass your feelings on to others. We would love to

In closing, I would like to reference a quote from the violin player
and the leader of the group playing on the deck of the titanic the
night of that terrible tragedy. I have taken some poetic license in
saying: “Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s a privilege to play for you
tonight.”
Enjoy the show and thank you for coming.
