Welcome to our first newsletter.

It is almost five years since we welcomed our first guests. Many of you are now frequent visitors

and we still enjoy meeting new guests. It is always a pleasure to see you and we trust that through

this quarterly newsletter we will be able to keep both our guests and supporters informed with news

about Crathie Opportunity Holidays, as well as the ongoing fundraising required to ensure that this

unique facility can be maintained for all of our future visitors.

Green Tourism Award

We were delighted to be awarded

the Green Tourism Business

Scheme Gold Award for our

environmental friendly policies and

practices. We now provide a compost bin for

garden and vegetable waste and also have a

green cone for all other food waste. In the

Garden Room you will find a “Green Tourism in

the Cairngorms” book and you

Earlier on this year we had the privilege of

showing HRH The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay

around the cottages. They were pleased to see

around them and were extremely interested in

the facilities that are on offer at Crathie for

disabled guests.
