BiographyDoris Kuert is a freelance photographer and lives in the town of Langenthal, which is located in the Northern Western part of Switzerland. Doris’s passion is artistic photography.

She also specializes in commercial work such as advertising and corporate publications; as well as teaching photography in her studio in collaboration with the “Prague Photo School of Austria”.

The Masters of Photography she made on 2001 -2005 in Prague Photo School, Austria. Specialization: Artistic Photography.

From The Subliminal To The Sublime

Doris Kuert experiments at the moment with photo emulsion on handmade paper and aluminium. Doris’s work can exude clarity, kindness, harshness happiness or sadness. It is real and subliminal at the same time. Throughout it all, however, one thing remains constant: The viewing experience is always sublime.

Along with her experiments she focuses again and again on “Body Blossoms”. The artist finds flowers of a particular moment in time. Then she photographs on slide film and projects those blossoms photos onto the nude female body, creating a new reality in a new context. This moment she captures finally again.

The form and substance of nature’s flora informs this part of her body of work. Doris explores femininity and womanhood in all their dimensions, reflecting the mood, the emotion and the subjective truth of the moment. She explores her gender and its raison d’ etre. The “floral expression” of the female body illustrates so many dimensions of gender.
