Throughout my life, I've heard the words of people who didn't believe in me or my "cause." For some reason, I listened and even believed. You're good for nothing. You can't do this. Why would you even try... has been a repetitive mantra throughout. Although I understand some of it - reverse psychology - it was hurtful nonetheless. If I could go back, I would have put on earplugs or even better "heart plugs." Every one deserves an opportunity to go for it anyways... The Olympics are full of stories of people who weren't fast enough, not tall enough, too thin, too bulky, etc.... But somewhere along the line, they had supporters who believed no matter what. This slide show is an encouragement: 2 things - 1) Encourage others, thereby encourage yourself 2) Don't give any discourager any weight... Do it anyways.
