Our Vision and Mission
Vision
The vision is a broad, less tangible, future-oriented statement of what a church
believes God has called her to do. It answers the question, “Where is God taking
us?” A church vision is:
➢ A guiding principal that provides a place of unity, and
➢ A focal point for direction to our church body.
The vision of Christ Community Church:
➢ “We will glorify God by
fulfilling our portion of the
Great Commission in this
generation, penetrating
every people group in
Braselton and beyond with
the Saving message of Jesus
Christ.”
Mission
The mission is a more specific, tangible statement of what a church believes
God has called her to do. It answers the question, “What are we doing?” A
church mission is:
➢ The much the same for every church, and
➢ Provided in Scripture in the form of The Great Commission.
The mission of Christ Community Church:
➢ “By the power of the Holy Spirit we will make disciples of all people groups,
baptizing them and teaching them to become reproducing followers of
Jesus.”

Our Core Values and Strategy
Core Values
➢ Grace – Grace is the unmerited favor of God. It has also been described
as God’s riches at Christ’s expense. Grace is seen in unconditional love for
others, demonstrated by Christ on the cross. Graciousness is modelled in
mutual trust, and in authentic Christianity in which God’s strength is seen
through personal weakness.
➢ Truth – Truth is derived from one objective source, the inerrant Word of
God rightly interpreted and applied. Truth and grace work together.
Teaching the Word without grace will be cold and legalistic. Extending
grace without the truth of the Word will be permissive and ineffective.
Truth is the bedrock of who we are as a church.
➢ Community – Community is the environment where grace and truth touch
the lives of people. Community is not
conformity. We are not all alike, yet we all
pursue the same mission together. This
results in a non-judgmental unity, prayer
and compassion for others, and in action
such as hospitality and service.
➢ Worship – Worship is an act or attitude
ascribing worth to God in a manner that
glorifies Him and Him only. It is entered into both personally and
corporately, and the believer is exhorted to worship the Lord with
gladness. Worship is the state of the heart, not the state of the art.
➢ Prayer – Prayer is spiritual communication with God, both personally and
corporately. It is a vital connection by which we understand His specific
desire for us and bring requests to Him for His attention. Jesus sought The
Father in prayer often, and so must we.
➢ Multiplication – Multiplication is extending the Kingdom of God, by means
He has directed us to use, in the pursuit of the Great Commission. It begins
personally by intentionally making disciples who make other disciples and
flows outward to all nations.

Strategy
The strategy is a very specific overview of how the church is led to fulfill her
mission. It answers the question,
“How are we doing it?” A church
strategy is:
➢ A series of actions that have a
connected end goal
➢ Can be measured and
evaluated for success
The Strategy of Christ Community Church
To fulfill The Great Commission by:
➢ Creating community within the church
❖ Weekly home small group communities – community groups
❖ Equipping members for authentic life and ministry – making disciples
❖ Multiplying groups organically
➢ Connecting with the community outside the church
❖ Serving in the Braselton community visibly
❖ Loving the people of Braselton unconditionally
❖ Inviting the people of Braselton to join us intentionally
➢ Preaching and teaching
God’s Word
❖ Sunday morning worship
celebration
❖ Weeknight community
groups
❖ Special events
➢ Multiplying intentionally
❖ Planting churches locally
❖ Planting churches abroad

Our Theology
The theology of Christ Community Church presented here is an overview. The
official doctrinal statement for the church, with Scripture references, is located in
the church Constitution.
Overview of Main Things
God – We believe, love and worship the one and only unchanging, sovereign,
and loving God, the Creator and Ruler of all things in Heaven and earth. God is
manifest in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus – Jesus Christ, our Lord, is God in the flesh. He is the Son of God, conceived
by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, fully God, fully man, and sinless. He died on
the cross as the Divine substitute for our sins, was buried, resurrected from the
dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father,
as our Advocate, and will return to judge the living and the dead.
Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, exalting Christ and
convicting us of our sin and need for Jesus Christ. He fully lives in every believer
from the moment of salvation. He comforts, teaches and empowers us to live in
righteousness. He equips every believer with spiritual gifts for service in the Body
of Christ.
Bible – The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God to reveal God and His will to
man. The Bible has God as its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any
mixture of error. The Bible is the sole authority for Christian Living.
Man – Man is made in the image of God. They were created, male and female,
to worship God, to glorify Him and to have dominion over the earth. Sin
separates man from God and man is eternally doomed unless he receives
salvation in Jesus Christ.
Salvation – Since all persons are separated from God by sin and are in need of
forgiveness, God offers the free gift of salvation. Each person must individually
accept this gift, repent of sin, and place faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
The Church – Jesus Christ is the head of His Body, the Church. The Body of Christ
is composed of believers. The purpose of the Church is to carry out His mission in
the world and is best lived out in local, autonomous churches.
The Baptist Faith and Message (2000)
Christ Community Church adheres to the doctrinal statement known as the
Baptist Faith and Message, 2000 revision.

In addition, the disciple will be taught the basics of doctrine and spiritual
formation reading the classic books on the subjects, Concise Theology, by J.I.
Packer, and Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian Life, by Donald S. Whitney
The disciple will be challenged to exercise his or her spiritual gifts in group
leadership and to be part of the multiplication of the community of faith.

Partners in Ministry
How to Partner with Christ Community Church
We welcome churches and individuals who desire to partner with Christ
Community Church in our mission to reach the greater Braselton area for Christ.
There are two ways and several levels that partnerships with CCC can happen.
Prayer Support Partnerships
The first is as a prayer partner. Scripture tells us that the work of God is “not by
might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts.” (Zech. 4:6 NASB)
We desperately need prayer partners who will interceded for us regularly.
Practical Support Partnerships
Next is to offer various types of practical support. CCC needs partners who will
help by allowing us to make copies, use a facility occasionally (baptisms, for
example), used VBS literature, providing work teams, childcare, literature
distribution, etc.
Financial Support Partnerships
The other is as a financial supporter. CCC needs financial support as we build
the church from the ground up. Our lead church planters are working at jobs to
support themselves during this church plant to minimize the financial burden.
The work can go much faster if that work does not have to be full-time. Please
prayerfully consider what contribution you or your church might make to help
out this work.
We have many financial needs:
➢ Start-up costs – Religious non-profit business license, incorporation, logo
and website development, advertising and promotion, promotional items
with logo, signage, church management software, administrative costs,
furniture, interior construction, interior decorating, etc.
➢ Operating costs – Ministry costs, missions, training materials, insurance,
rent, usage fees, music, stipends for part-time personnel, etc.

“And Jesus came up and spoke to them saying. ‘All
authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”
