How does it work?

The way shared ownership works is that the mortgage of the

property is reduced to an amount you can afford, which can be

anywhere between 40-75% of the property value, and the part you

don’t own you effectively ‘rent’ at a reduced price. This way you can

be a homeowner without worrying about a large deposit you can’t

fi nd or afford.

Shared Ownership is never one size fi ts all, as everyone’s

circumstances are different, so a flexible approach that works

around you and your individual needs is what makes this scheme

so helpful. Due to the smaller deposit, you can purchase more
