Welcome,

2017 marks 22 years of equine production sales for us here at the A Bar Ranch. Its evolution

has led us to more talented horses, great horsemen, ranch rodeos, evolving Quarter Horse

industry and most importantly great people. Thanks to each of you for your support and your

experiences with the A Bar horse. The skill set of riders has continually improved with the

regional and national associations and shows.

Never before has the ranch horse had multiple opportunities for show. Versatility, Ranch,

Ranch Horse Challenges and Breeder Futurities. Over 330 Ranching Heritage Breeder’s

horses are eligible nationwide. Over 15,000 added to Challenges at each show. Ranch Trail

has become the largest AQHA World Show event.

We are excited also this year with the special consignment from the Oklahoma State

University Equine Department. 2 year old horse colts all started through their teaching class

and advanced for this auction.

2018 will be our first annual 20,000 added futurity where the 2014 A Bar Ranch foals will

compete. Those horses will also be eligible for the Cowhorse Classic Auction.

Ranch-bred American Quarter Horses are held in high regard for their stamina, athletic abilityand cow sense. American Quarter Horses are the preferred partner for working cattle ranchesand the horses' popularity goes beyond the ranch.

The American Quarter Horse Association established the AQHA Ranching Heritage Breedersprogram in 2011 to help showcase the ranch horse and help ranchers and breeders expandtheir market through events like the Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenges.Horses bred by Ranching Heritage Breeders are eligible for nomination to the RanchingHeritage Breeders program, which makes the horses eligible for the Ranching Heritage Challenges.

Ranching Heritage Breeders are AQHA members who represent longevity, honesty andintegrity in raising quality American Quarter Horses, while upholding the ranching heritage.To be accepted into the program, a Ranching Heritage Breeder must own and breed a minimumof five American Quarter Horse mares used to produce ranch horses, must maintain a remudaof horses used to operate a working cattle ranch and have received (at a minimum) an AQHA10-year Breeder Award.

“Ranching Heritage Breeders uphold the true definition of ranching heritage,” said AQHAExecutive Vice President Craig Huffhines. “Buyers know that purchasing from a Ranching Heritage Breeder guarantees versatile, hard-working American Quarter Horses.”There are many benefits of becoming an AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeder. In addition to theirRHB-bred horses being eligible for nomination to the Ranching Heritage Breeders program,Ranching Heritage Breeders also have exclusive marketing and advertising opportunitiesthrough the newly launched Ranch Horse Journal, a quarterly magazine produced by AQHAMedia.

Terms: are cash, to be paid in US currency and/or on US banks the day ofthe sale. Cash, Cashiers Check, Mastercard Visa or approved Bank checks,will be accepted. A 2% buyer premium will be assessed on all onlinepurchases. No horse will leave the grounds without a bill of sale.

Bidding: Positive ID is required to receive a buyer’s number. Each bidder must have a buyer’s number to bid. The highest bidder is the buyer.If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, sole authority to settle the dispute is reserved by the auctioneer. His decision shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or allbids.

Risk: Title to and risk or loss passes to the buyer when the animal is declared “SOLD” by the auctioneer. Buyers assume responsibility for maintenance and care from then on. All horses should be removed from thesite the same day of sale, June 17, 2017, unless other arrangements havebeen made with Armitage Livestock.

Registration Papers: All registration papers will be withheld until allchecks clear the banks. At such time, they will be mailed to AQHA for transfer. The transfer fee of $20 to AQHA will be the responsibility of thebuyer and will be added to the purchase price. A purchase invoice will befilled out on each horse EXACTLY how the purchaser wants a horse registered.
