    1. At the o~ening of the period, the 9th Infantry Regiment (Thai Battalion attached) was occupying, organizing, and pr~paririR to dofe.nd the Post Armistice Main Battle Position from CT564382 to CT616399 with 1st Battalion tdth first platoon Tank Company attached and Thai Battalion with fot~th platoon, Tank Company attached on line. 2d Battalion vicinity CT5693/~9 and Tank Co {-) vicinity CT565368 were in Regimental reserve. The 3d Battalion vicinity CT609355 was in Division reserv~. Counterfire platoon remained attached to the 15th Field Artillery Battalion.

    2. On 5 August 1953 th~ platoon, Tank Company which t.;as attached to 1st Battalion reverted to Regimental resorve. On 6 August 1953 the platoon, Tank Company attached to Thai Battalion, reverted to Regimental reserve.

    3. . 2d Battalion departed l~giment~il reserve and relieved elements of the Thai Battalion from CT564J82 to CT587L05 and as~Q~~d sector res-ponsibility effective 1820L~5I August 1953.     6. At the close of t.hc month the 1st, 2d, and 3d Battalions were oc-cupying and completing Post Armistice Hain Battl0 Positions from CT564382 to CT616399.
