Packed with power. With rated engine horsepower at 200 hp,the 7920 delivers more power than we’ve ever offered in thistractor class. Up to 234 HP (172 kW) is available at transportspeeds providing the power to pull up long hills. This makes fora very high power to weight ratio.

Choose standard or heavyduty MFWD. Triple LinkSuspension (TLS) puts morepower to the ground with apermanently active hydro-pneumatic suspensionsystem. 4-valve technology brings you an increase inbreathing capacity of 22% compared to a 2-valvehead. You get Constant High Torque characteristicsover the whole working range for excellent pull-through, even in tough conditions. It also allowsfaster field operating speeds at lower engine speeds.

Electronically controlled fuel injectors deliverprecise amounts of fuel. They are positioned directlyover the combustion chamber for better fuel/airmixing. A pilot injection process further reducesengine noise during cold engine starts.

The high pressure pump provides maximum fuel pressure inde-pendent of engine rpm. The pump delivers correct pressure to theelectronic fuel injectors according to operating requirements. Theresult is better fuel use, more torque at low engine speeds and awider constant power band.

The common rail unit supplieseach injector with precise,constant pressurised fuel. Theengine attains efficient fuelconsumption, independent ofspeed and load. Engine noise isalso reduced.

The Charge Air Cooler receives hot air from theTurbocharger and cools it to provide a low temperatureair intake for the engine. The resulting air flow has ahigher oxygen content, aiding combustion for a cleanerfuel burn.

The left hand reverser pro-vides forward and reverse direction controlas well as the traditional John Deere parkposition. It also features a neutral positionand one of the outstanding AutoPowrfunctions – ‘PowerZero’. The PowerZeroposition holds the transmission at zero speed,yet power is available immediately. The AutoPowr transmission is available in 40 km/h and 50 km/h versions depending uponmarket.

No clutching required … even to stop.The AutoClutch works like the automatictransmission in a car. You press the brakes tostop. Release the brakes and start-up issmooth and easy – even with higher enginespeeds when using PTO driven implementsor during transport.

Just turn the thumb wheel on the speedcontrol lever to preset your forward andreverse speed limits. The horizontal bars onthe dashboard make it easy to see the setspeed limits. A separate digital display alsoshows the exact speed settings. You canchange speed selections on-the-go.

The Implement Manage-ment System lets youprogramme the hydraulicremotes to extend, retract,float or cancel; raise the3-point hitch, disengageand re-engage the PTO;increase or decrease thespeed with the AP or shiftup, shift down with the AQ.

You can also engage or disengage the MFWD and differential lock. Oncethe functions are learned, press the “save” touch pad. Now, the tractor isready to perform all these functions and it’s all push-button easy.

The John Deere Implement Management System is easy to set,easy to use. To programme IMS, push the “on” touch pad. With thetractor moving, press the “learn” touch pad. Engage the sequencebutton, 1 or 2 on the CommandARM module and execute yourtractor commands.

In this example, the operator has programmed the IMS sequenceswitch #1 to disengage the PTO, raise the row marker, raise the

planter, disengage the MFWD and disengage the differential lock. As hereaches the end of the field, he pushes the #1 sequence button.

The operator executes his turn with minimum effort. He executes 5 commands with the push of a button. For tight turning angles the

driveshafts on both the TLS and regular MFWD can be programmed todisengage with IMS.

After the turn, he pushes the #2 IMS sequence switch. The tractorautomatically re-engages the PTO, lowers the row marker, lowers

the planter, re-engages the MFWD and re-engages the differential lock.During a long day, IMS is a real fatigue fighter that can add hours to yourproductivity and help minimise mistakes.
