New 7 Wonders of Nature was an initiative started in 2007 to create a list ofseven natural wonders chosen by people through aglobal poll. It was led by Canadian Swiss BernardWeber and organized by the New 7 WondersFoundation, a Swiss-based foundation. The initiativefollowed the New 7 Wonders of the World, whichattracted 100 million votes from around the world.Voting continued until Nov. 11, 2011, when the listwas announced.
