The land now known as Buffalo Valley was purchased back in 1958 by George Stoyanoff. He lived on the land for many years. In 1968, George, with family

& friends, began building the complex. After four years on construction, the Buffalo House opened in 1972. It was the place to go for good times &

great food. George also raised a herd of buffalo, built a small farm, kid’s zoo, swimming pool, campground, six ball fields and the Buffalo Junction. The

Buffalo House, along with Buffalo Valley, kept growing and expanding.

On March 9, 1984, a small explosion occurred in the wood stove which caused a major fire that burned the Buffalo House to the ground. Many

people watched from the roadside as it went up in flames.

Many years passed until George decided to rebuild the Buffalo House, again with help from his family and friends. Like the original, the lumber was taken from Buffalo

Valley. The new Buffalo House started out with a small bar and a few tables but before long, we expanded into a full dining room, an upstairs banquet facility-Bison Hall,

and a outdoor deck over looking beautiful Buffalo Valley. We also rebuilt the Buffalo Junction Banquet Facility after the roof collapsed and is now available for events year

around. In addition, we have continued to make great improvements to all of the outdoor facilities. For summer, we offer three softball fields, full concession stand, three

lighted volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and an expanded, improved campground with new shower rooms. During the winter, we offer a rink for boot hockey, broom

ball and ice hockey. We plan to continue upgrading and improving our facilities.
