Cancer –cancer of the colon, rectum and prostate (men) and cancer of the gallbladder, breast, uterus, cervix and ovaries (women).

Alzheimer's-type dementia

Gallbladder disease and gallstones

Osteoarthritis - back, hip and knee joints deteriorate.

Gout - joint pain caused by deposits of uric acid crystals in the joint space Sleep apnea – short periods when breathing stops during sleep

Heart Disease – the heart has to work too hard to supply blood to the organs.

Stroke – most important risk factor for stroke.

Impaired Vision - causes blood vessels in the eye to burst or bleed.

Coronary-artery disease – causes the arteries to "harden.”

Kidney Damage – can narrow and thicken the blood vessels of the kidneys.

Heart Attack – major risk factor for heart attack.

Congestive Heart Failure - the number one risk factor.
