OBJECTS GOALS AND CANDIDATES
The Department of Public, Procedural, International and European Law of the Università degli Studi of Milan organizes the 1st edition of the Summer School on International Arbitration and Mediation, which will take place from 28 August to 6 September 2011 in the beautiful setting of Palazzo Feltrinelli at Gargnano , on the shores of Lake Garda.http://www.palazzofeltrinelli.ithttp://www.lagodigardamagazine.com/foto-aeree-gargnano-lago-garda.aspx
The Summer School is open to a maximum of 30 undergraduate and/or postgraduate students and/or lawyers for each module, who want to approach for the first time or improve their knowledge of the theory and practice of the ADR world, also in view of a possible career in the field of international dispute resolution.
The Summer School (structured in two modules, on international arbitration and mediation respectively) is characterized by theoretical lessons as well as practical and interactive seminars and workshops (including advocacy) all held in English. The faculty members are well known academics, members of important arbitral institutions and highly respected professionals with remarkable experience in the field of domestic and international dispute resolution.
Very good knowledge of written and spoken English is an essential requirement to be admitted to the Summer School. The candidates should send the application form along with their CV in English (max 2 pages) to [email protected] on or before Friday, 15 July 2011. Undergraduate, postgraduate students and trainee lawyers are also required to send the list of their University exams with marks.

Two fee waivers will be offered to undergraduate or postgraduate students who will submit a motivation statement and a letter of recommendation.The Bar Association recognizes the Summer School as a credit bearing course in the Italian continuing education programme for lawyers (24 credits for the module on International Arbitration, 24 credits for the module on Mediation).

By car: from Milan enter the Milano - Venezia highway, take the Brescia est exit, follow directions for Salò. From Salò, follow directions for Riva del Garda; after 15 km enter Bogliaco, then Villa and finally reach Gargnano Centro.
