Looking Forward If I was the President… The current President A-Analyze Learners o The age range of students in my class is 10-11. o 12 students are female; the other 8 students are male. o The students are in 5 th grade. o 2 students in my class have ADHD. S-State Objectives o Students will describe the current president and tell what they would do if they were president. Students will be presented with a video talking about the current president. We will have a class discussion about Barack Obama. Next we will discuss what they would do if they were president and the student will get in groups and brainstorm about what they would do if they were President. At the end of this lesson the students will know about the president with 80% accuracy. S-Select Methods, Media, & Materials o The students will watch a video on the current president. They will discuss what it means to be president and the roles Barack Obama holds and goals he has achieved. o At the end of this lesson the students will be able to tell me about Barack Obama and the things he has done while in office. The students will also create a list describing what they would do if they were president and why they would do that.
