Manager (OIM)




2. EMC




EMC IDM is correctly called

RSA IDM, as EMC acquired RSA

in 2006




RSA entered the user security

space long ago with their

RSA token, providing strong

authentication, which defeats

hacker’s ability to use stolen

passwords




3. Courion




Courion IAM includes built-in

forensics and intrusion

detection to identify user abuse

and weaknesses in security,

thus reducing risk




It uses analytics to flag events,

like elevated access, and

assists with decision making,

like measuring productivity

and making hiring decisions.




4. CA Identity Manager




One simplification to the

product is that CA has made

customizing the user screens

simpler with the ConfigXpress

tool, replacing Java and

JavaScript




5. SailPoint




Their Simple Cloud Identity

Management (SCIM)

specification uses JSON

or XML for provisioning

to SCIM cloud applications,

like Salesforce.com




Bottom Line




This provides you with single

point of contact, no blame

game, and they are more

cost effective




While SailPoint has an excellent

IDM platform, it has gaps

that require integration with

other third party platforms,

with the potential for silos
