PREPARES (Pregnancy & Parenting Support) is an Initiative of the Catholic Bishops of Washington state to benefit families who need a healthy support network. It is a nurturing response from

the Catholic community, providing parish based services as a means of supporting pregnant women, fathers, and families with children under five. Support can include basic needs like diapers, formula, and clothing, assistance organizing play groups and classes, mentoring, and making referrals to services. A PREPARES Orientation takes place today, Sunday, March 4, between the Masses in the church. Child care will be available in the social hall. We will discuss how our parish can begin to offer support in our community. Tracy Gyllenhammer, your PREPARES Area Coordinator, can be reached at 509-496-1663. Also check their website for info: www.preparesforlife.org/

ENCOUNTER SAFIATA: In Burkina Faso, we encounter Safiata, a mother, grandmother and farmer who relies on the money she makes from her crops to put her children through school. How can our purchases this

Lent support farmers and artisans? How can you support those, worldwide, who are forced to flee their homes to find safety or better opportunities? Visit crsricebowl.org/stories-of-hope/week-3 for more. Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowls are at the church entrances.

Time to sign up for FEAST! (Families Eating And Sharing Together) This month we’ll have pizza and Bingo after the 4:30 p.m. Mass in the social hall. Since it is St. Patrick's Day,

families are encouraged to bring something green (or Irish) - frosted cookies, cupcakes, grapes, apple slices, whatever you like! Please sign up by March 16, so we know how much pizza to order. Sign-up sheets are in the social hall, by the church entrance and in the classroom hallway, or email Mary Sutherland, [email protected], with the number of adults & number & ages of children.
