7 to 8:15 pm in the Sacred Heart social hall. Presenter: Fr. Steve Dublinski

The Our Father is the only prayer Jesus gave his disciples and the only prayer he told them to pray. It is a prayer that is foundational to our faith and it accompanies us all through our lives. Let’s explore this prayer. What is its meaning? What did Jesus actually teach? Why do Matthew and Luke have different versions? Why do some people add “For thine is the Kingdom…? Does God “lead us into temptation?” These and many more questions will be explored.

Childcare will be available.

Celebrate the canonization of Oscar Romero! Next Sunday, October 14, 12:10-1:10 pm in our social hall. Short film, discussion, light lunch (with aguas frescas), door prizes. All ages welcome – come as you are!

The cost for laser tag is $18 (2 games). As this is a Sunday, we encourage youth to attend the 4:30pm Saturday Mass that weekend. An RSVP note will be sent around October 28, so we can know how many youth will attend and plan accordingly. Youth Ministry Director: Hally Rohla, [email protected]

Do you know of anyone who needs a meal due to an illness, the birth of a child, surgery or recovery? Our parish Helping Hands volunteers will provide these meals. Please tell us (Sue McNamara 332-4402 [email protected]) about anyone who you feel is in need of Helping Hands. People in need are more likely to accept meals rather than ask for help. Also contact Sue if you can prepare a meal occasionally.

parish surpasses our goal, the overage is returned to us. It is simple to give…send in your one-time contribution, or make a pledge using the donation card you receive in the mail, or donate online at www.dioceseofspokane.org/give
