Square Root PrincipleThe square root principle will work for quadratic equations of the form: 

ax2 + (0)x + c = 0

IE:  if there is no "x" term, the square root principle will work!

two important notes:

­isolate the squared term by itself before taking the square root of both sides.

­when applying the square root, you must take both the positive and negative value of the number.
