When in VIPER, we will rarely have time for huddle calls and must designate our blitzes based on numbers (audibling at the line).
Versus an "Air Raid" offense, they will be audibling at the line as well, so the more confusion we create, the better. We can call out as many numbers as we like, but once YOUR number is called, you must execute your blitz without question.

We will call "CLOUD" to put ourselves in better position versus the outside run based on wing motion. When we call "CLOUD", it will be a pre-snap call for coverage rotation. We will line up in our base C3 alignment, but as the wing goes in motion, we will make a loud audible, "RED! RED!" (right) or "BLUE! BLUE!" (left). No matter what we designateas strength, we will just roll into our Cover 6 package, pressing hard on the outside receiver, and playing two-deep.Will will need to be familiar with occupying JUST the 'curl' zone when to his side.We can also make this call to an 'exceptional' receiver (ex. "87 CLOUD" we roll to receiver #87 no matter where he lines up)

"CHOKE" - when we 'choke' we'll play a 2 deep / 4 under defense
CLOUD ( 2 deep coverage rotation)
ROLL ( 3 deep coverage rotation )
"RED" (right) "BLUE" (left)we will call "ROLL" to bracket a receiver and offer a 'change-up' look to an offense. The corner to the called side of "ROLL" isgoing to hard press the outside receiver and re-route him. Corner will ride this receiver inside, then 'float' into the flat zone. The only change-up is the OLB to the roll side. He will now fall to the deep 1/3rd of that side. If a 'weak' roll is called, the WILLwill now drop to deep 1/3rd over the top of the pressing corner. Likewise, if a strong roll is called, the Strong Safety will now drop to the deep 1/3rd over the top of the pressing corner. We can also make this call to an 'exceptional' receiver (ex. "87 ROLL" we roll to receiver #87 no matter where he lines up)

This is our 'safe' man-to-man coverage. We will play this 'loose'C and our Mike and FS will provide the needed inside help, by
SS taking away any inside threat, as they sit in their zones. R

COVER ZERO - we're manning up with no deep help over the top. We are "selling out" for the sake of aggressive pressure. We will matchup man-for-man, talent for talent. Corners will cover Split and slot recievers, FS will cover the TE. The SS will match
While in DOUBLE EAGLE, we call strength to the TE (regardless). However, the SS will always go to the numbers (I.e.; the two receiver side) and shadow #2. From this, the SS will jam #2 (in Cover 3), fall to the strong deep 1/2 (cover 2)
