On the day of January 25 Morgan Overbee said the Pledge of

Allegiance and Jordan McVey said the 4-H Pledge. The

“Thought of the Day” was presented by Tyler Perkins. There

were 19 students present for the meeting of Mrs. Branden-

burg’s 2nd Class.

The Constitution and Bylaws were the only business to come

before the club. I, the reporter gave several announcements

about the upcoming 4-H events. At the end of the meeting

we played 2 Truths and 1 Lie game.

By Raymond You

On February 22, 2017, McNabb 7th 4-H Club

with Cortni Garner saying the “Thought of the

Day.” Club members said their favorite holidays of the

year. 1:34 PM we are going over 4-H Constitution. The

club is now voting for our club name. We voted “Indians”

as our official club name. We end with a teamwork game.

On March 22, 2017, 4H 7th Club started on 1:19pm. Un-

fortunately, President Briar Reynolds was absent. Vice

President Sydney Henderson took his place. Raymond

First Meeting Held under New Administration

for Brandenburg 8th Period—By Nate Brother

Class Constitution Created: On January 25th, 2017, with 23

students present, the first meeting for Brandenburg 8th period

4-H club since the elections were held. After President Holley

called the Meeting to order and Maggie Fegenbush presented

the Thought of the Day, Mr. Comer announced the creation of

the Brandenburg 4-H constitution. It contained all information

about Officers, Membership Meetings, and Amendments. One

of the most important decisions made was that all meetings

from then on would be held on the 4th Wednesday of the

month, making the next meeting on February 22, 2017. After

the Constitution creation, which took the bulk of the meeting,

Announcements were held. We then, for the last part of the

meeting, played a “2 truths 1 lie” activity where we each wrote

2 truths and 1 lie about ourselves on a sheet of paper, it was

read aloud, and members tried to guess who wrote it and what

the lie was. The meeting was then adjourned at 2:44 P.M.

Brandenburg 8th Period 4-H Meeting Held

On February 22, 2017, the meeting for Brandenburg 8th period

4-H club was held. President Holly brought the meeting to or-

der, the pledges and minutes were read, and Mr. Comer brought

up the subject of the meeting, which was completing the Con-

stitution for the club that had been started last meeting. After

the Constitution was finished, the club decided to add the posi-

tion of game leader, which was filled by Maggie Fegenbush.

The game was then introduced, which involved several club

members using string to lift a plastic ball and carrying it to a

can on the other side of the room. The meeting was then ad-

journed. The next meeting will be held on March 22, 2017.

Tyson Martin, Reporter

On February 15th, Mr. Haskins 6th period class

was called to order. President Kacie Allen and Vice

President Joshua Kline was called to the stand. After our

pledges, we talked about Thought of the Day which was

“Be the kind of leader that you would follow.” We were

asked what makes a good leader and heard extremely

good responses. Then, we went through roll call of the

members in the class that were present and to show we

were here we had to tell our favorite TV show. Our sec-

retary read the minutes of our last meeting and takes the

roll of president, vice president, etc. The president an-

nounces business to come before the club and then I an-

nounce activities that anybody can join in on. The court

adjourns after the games we played.

4-H LIVESTOCK CLUB At February's meeting, we had kids teaching kids about species meat identification. All the kids really enjoyed

this exercise. Both the kids teaching and the kids listening learned something from it.

At our March meeting, Jamie & Anna Reffitt had a presentation on equipment identification for use on small ani-

mals as well as beef projects. They were assisted by various members eager to help. The members enjoyed learning

about uses of the equipment. The kids also made get well cards for Chris Willoughby during the meeting. Any mem-

ber showing this season will need to get validation forms. These will be available at the April meeting.
