The VIRTUAL ROUND TABLE conference isa live online conference dedicated tolanguage learning with technology. It isaimed at educators and language teachingprofessionals in language schools, institutesor other language related organisations.

It is held entirely online using virtualclassroom technology and provides a superbopportunity to profile one’s company as being

truly ‘state-of-the-art’ in understanding andpromoting Internet-based learning.

The VIRTUAL ROUND TABLE conferencewill present a number of web tools andbest practise on how to use these tools inclass for the benefit of our language learners.

Many appreciative comments from pastconferences testify that the conferencedemonstrates well our efforts to provide“innovative, inspiring and sociableteacher training” for language teachingprofessionals around the globe.

Our conference recordings have been viewedmany hundreds of times over and are nowhoused under the [RECORDINGS] tab on the

homepage in the form of individual blogs foreasy sharing.

The previous two VIRTUAL ROUNDTABLE Conferences (November2009 and April 2010) saw a total of

815 unique visitors attending livesessions and more than 820 signedup on the conference website.These were from the following fields:

Education Administrators Technology and Service

Providers Training Consultants and

Company Representatives Deans, Directors and

Researchers fromUniversities and the HigherEducation Sector







In many countries around the world, European teacher training is virtually unaffordable. Grundtvigor similar funding is either only available for teachers in Europe or they help subsidize travelexpenses. Live Online teacher training courses do not benefit from these programs.

Help us raise 3,000 € for the TEACHER TRAINING GRANT

As a TEACHER TRAINING GRANT sponsor, you or your company may position itself as agenerous promoter of teacher training in the technology-supported language learning and trainingmarket. Teacher training grant winners must be conference participants and they may choose ateacher training course from a list of courses with special emphasis on language learning withtechnology.

The sponsorship is a contribution towards 50% of the course fee. Generous donations by allparticipants will be collected and added to a fund. If your company and the amount of your donationwould like to be mentioned, we will gladly do so.

The following list of four teacher training courses have been selected because they all trainlanguage learning with technology and they can be taken at a distance.

Teacher who would like to apply for any of these trainings may apply for the funding by writing tothe conference committee stating which course they would like to take.
