Vizag Round Table 77 was inaugurated on the 14th of August 1983 and

chartered on the 18th of December 1983. It was sponsored by the Vijayawada

round table 68. VRT 77 further went on to sponsor three tables in the city of

destiny, Visakhapatnam; as follows:

We believe that, with fellowship comes everything else, all the facets of tabling.

This quarter has seen some all round performances in all the facets of tabling at

VRT 77. Fellowship as the fore-runner, Community service, Twinklers activities

and Publicity with little bit of Go Green activity and RTI Week celebrations forms

this quarter report.

Major milestones achieved –

Tr.GVS Ramayya won the Super Secretary award for the 2nd quarter of

2012-13. This is the second successive time that the award was won by him.

VRT 77 Blog inaugurated and launched on the 10th Jan 2013 in par with the

“Shiny Disco Balls” social hosted by Tr. Umesh Padia & Shikha and

Tr.Sandeep & Sangeeta Choudari.

Tr.Naveen Perla participated in the NLC which was held at Bangalore on

2nd and 3rd Feb.

An all tables Joint meeting (4 tables) was conducted for the very first time

in the presence of National President Tr.Vineet and Area Chairman

Tr.Kishore at Vizag on the 1st of March.

The fifth consecutive “Parents Day” themed “Making Waves” was held on

2nd March. Tr.Vineet,NP and Tr.Kishore,AC Area 9 attended the meeting

and interacted with the all the Tabler parents.

Three extensions in Twinklers division by Tr.Naveen Perla (twin baby

girls) and Tr.GVS Ramayya (baby girl).

MEETINGS:

On the administration front regular meetings have been held as per the

guidelines of RTI Blue book. A total of 7 meetings were held during this quarter.

Sufficient days notice , sms’s etc were sent to all tablers and sq.legs prior

conducting the meeting.

Jan 1st :

New Year and new beginning and best way to start the year , was to invite all for

flash fellowship. Upon Chairman’s message to all the tablers and ladies, all

gathered at Waltair Club for evening day out. Surprisingly the turnout was good

in spite of the hangover.

Jan 3rd :

Surprise party was arranged at Jack Frost to celebrate the birthday of

Tr.Dr.Rakesh, fellowship convener. Well his wife Mrs.Lakshmi has taken lot of

pains to make her husband happy and the celebration continued on the beach

front till 1 am.

Jan 5th :

The ladies of the table have decided to have inter table ladies get together (4

tables) at Chrome , first of its kind in Vizag. The party started late in the evening

and as expected all the ladies had great fun without their respective hubbies.

JJaann 1100tthh ::

Post business Meet the fellowship continued with the Ladies and few twinklers at

Chrome celebrating the success of awards won at the 51st NAGM.

13th Jan :

The first festival of the year and all gathered at HT.Dharmaraju’s residence for

Bhogi celebrations as early as 6 am. Later all the four tables joined at Chrome for

Lunch.

18th Jan :

Parents were out of town and Tr.Umesh and Shikha took full advantage of calling

the entire table to their residence over drinks and dinner. Awesome weather ,

lovely arrangements and wonderful people formed the complete package of the

evening.

25th Jan :

Everyone were glittering at the “Shiny Disco Balls” social hosted by Tr.Umesh &

Shikha and Tr.Sandeep Choudari and Sangeeta at Hawa Mahal. The social started

with business meet which was limited to specific discussions and then the fun

started. The décor , food , booze and the dance floor were not only shining but

were drawing all the members to participate. Wonderful night out which lasted

till early hours of the next day. Photos in the next page.

Feb 1st & 2nd :

The fashion fever has affected Vizag finally. Models from Mumbai and designers

have made their way to Vizag to The Park hotel to rock and roll. Tr.Jaydeep

invited the entire table to witness the event which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Feb 4th :

Emergency Meet was called for to discuss on

the probabilities of hosting National event for

the year 2014 at Tr.Rajesh Agarwal’s house.

Post meeting had fellowship over drinks and

dinner.

Feb 7th :

Twlkr.Deveshi (Tr.Devesh & Nithishree’s

daughter) is now the youngest member of

77 family. Her arrival to Vizag saw their

parents inviting all their friends and 77

family over dinner at Waltair Club.

Excellent food and lovely smiles filled the

evening with showers for the little one for

a prosperous and happy life.

Feb 8th :

Couple of tablers attended the movie “Mirchi” – movie fund raiser of WRT 92 at

CMR INOX.

Feb 12th :

Post business meet, all the tablers were stranded in The Park hotel itself not

because of any reason, but for celebrating the anniversary of Tr.Sandeep

Choudary and Sangeeta by having cake cutting at wee hours.

Feb 15th – 16th :

MTM and 3rd AEX was hosted at Hyderabad and as many as 5 tablers and 2 ladies

have attended the same. Great fun at the party and will be remembered for a

very long time.

Feb 21st :

Business Meet 720th / 16th of the year was held at Waltair Club. We had Tr.Saket

Choudary from Kolkatta attending the meet and had fellowship post meeting

which continued till wee hours.

Feb 23rd :

Tr.Sandeep Chitra and Rajani Chitra have invited the entire table to witness the

46th Annual function of Pollocks School. Almost the entire table attended the

function and thoroughly enjoyed all the cultural activities.

Mar 1st :

It all started with a couple of Tablers (representatives from all 4 tables) going to

the airport to receive National President Tr. Vineet at 11 AM . After meeting and

greeting , at around 1:30 PM , All of us met up together at Eleven Fine Dining , a

restaurant owned by our very own Tr.Devesh . We had sumptuous meal of

sizzling biriyani and a round of desserts . Good food and it was nice opportunity

to interact and bond . After a satisfying meal , we headed for a project visit to the

Vasant Bala school in Seethammadhara , we showed him around the school .

After the tour we settled down in the staff room where the school staff gave us

some cool drinks , we sat and chatted for a while and then it was time to depart .

In the night , a joint dinner fellowship was organized for the Area Chairman Tr.

Kishore and National President Tr. Vineeth by all the four tables at the Park Hotel

by the beach near the community table . It was again a great opportunity for all of

us to mingle and bond amongst ourselves and it extra special knowing that

Tr.Vineet Parikh and AC Tr.Kishore came down all the way from Ahmadabad and

Hyderabad respectively . It gave us a chance to exchange ideas on different

facets of tabling . We had a great time , FUN UNLIMITED !!!! .

Mar 2nd :

The day started at 11 AM with a small community service at the St. Josephs old

age home , where we had a lunch service for them . The service started with a

small prayer by the inmates and then we began serving the food , The National

President Tr.Vineet Parikh joined in the service along with Tablers and Sq.legs of

77 . After we served the food , the inmates sat down to eat and we could see that

they relished every bit of the food .,Towels were also distributed to the inmates .

The staff really appreciated . us for this kind gesture . AC Tr.Kishore and

Chairman 77 Tr.Raghu joined in later . Tr.Kishore went in to take a tour of the old

age home and then later all of us stood for a picture and then departed .

It was decided that we head to Sea Inn or Raju garu dhabha as it is fondly called ,

for a lunch fellowship , we first however took a drive on the beach road , then

went for a long drive towards sagar nagar and beyond that upto to the IT SEZ area

, Tr. Raghunandan from 213 also joined us along the way . We stopped after going

a certain distance to get a good view of the city from the hill top . Then we

proceeded to Sea Inn Restaurant which is actually a thatched hut restaurant which

services authentic spicy Andhra food . We ordered some spicy chicken , prawn

and egg biriyani for each of us along with mutton fry . it was a meal that we

relished thoroughly and we left table satisfied and content . After we ate , Tr. Rishi

, Tr. Nandu and Tr. Riaz joined us from 92 and we chatted for a while , some of

them stayed back while others went back home to rest .

We met later in the night again around 8PM at Waltair club , Oyster Hall for the

joint meeting between all the 4 tables of Vizag ., I think this is the first time we

had a joint meeting in Vizag in the presence of AC Kishore and NP Vineeth . The

main highlights of the meeting were the sergeants act, the sergeants were Tr.

Shrawan from 77 and Tr. Raghunandan from 213 . Tr . Shrawan had a unique way

of sargenting where whoever was not wearing a pin would be pinned by the

national president and then they would have to contribute a certain amount

towards sunshine collection for it ! . Whoever was appreciated for their efforts in

the quarter would also contribute towards sunshine collection . Basically whoever

did well contributed well ! .

Mar 3rd :

“God cannot reach everywhere, so he made Parents”

We celebrated this Grandeur at Parents Day, our Signature Annual event held on

Sunday the 3rd March 2013 at The Park, Vizag.

Tr.Vineet Parikh, National President, Round Table India graced the occasion as

the chief guest & Tr.Kishore Kumar, Area Chairman, Area 9, RTI & Tr.Deepak

Menda, National Secretary Treasurer, Round Table India attended as special

guests of honour.

Over 60 Invitation cards were made and personally handed over to the parents

of Tablers. The Parents felt honoured and special by this kind of invitation. Also

Invites were sent to all the Parents of our Ladies.

The function started at 12-30 pm with the arrival of the Parents along with the

Tablers & Twinklers and guests. The Convener introduced the Head-Table &

various Guests for the day and invited them on the Dias. He then handed over the

proceedings to the Chairman who then cordially invited all the Parents. A Video

of the various activities done during the year was played for the Parents.

Speakers for the day included the National President Tr.Vineth, Area 9 Chairman

Tr.Kishore, National Secretary Treasurer Tr.Deepak. Some of the Parents also

spoke on this occasion and expressed their happiness for all the good work.

Chairman also acknowledged the presence of Tr.Sai Madhukar, AST, Area 9 &

Tr.Riyaz, Area Vice Chairman, Area 9.

The parents were very happy and overwhelmed after the meeting, and

expressed the same by speaking out to the audience. This was followed by

Lunch. The Entertainment programme consisted of dances by Twinklers. The

hosts for the event Tr.Inder & Anitha, Tr.Utkarsh & Neelambari. The program was

an occasion to experience true family bonding by the presence of the parents

along with the Tablers, Ladies and Twinklers…”Baghban” Parents Day is indeed

remembered by all at 77 every year !

Mar 8th :

Movie fellowship was organised for Saheb Biwi aur Gangster at Inox. Good

attendance and much awaited movie fellowship.

Mar 9th :

Fellowship at Waltair club lawns followed by dinner and drinks at Chrome with

the ladies.

Mar 14th :

JAYRAKSHASH ………………time

Flash fellowship has again taken off. This time the entire family of 77 were seen

relaxing in the beach with butta in one hand and ice-cream in the other hand.

Twinklers had a blast than their parents.

Mar 18th :

Business meet 722nd / 18th of the year was held at Eleven restaurant. Post meeting

all the tablers enjoyed the lovely food served in the restaurant over fellowship.

Mar 19th :

JAYRAKSHASH team calling……………..

We call this an HR cum fellowship and was unique in its own way. On the sand

with the shags, close to the sea ; ladies on one side , twinklers on the other side

with buttas prepared on the charcoal pan and later being tasted under the moon

light with lovely breeze around was by far the best fellowship. It was heaven

which can best be experienced by one’s presence.

Mar 22nd :

Informal meeting at the Waltair Club over drinks and dinner was called for to

discuss the possibility of having a Publicity event with the “STRINGS” in

association with Centre for Management and Technology (CMT) to organise the

inter college Rock fest was discussed in the presence of HT Ravindra and

Sq.Leg.Aanand Khara.

Mar 23rd :

Saturday night and home was calling…… ops Chrome was calling. Couple of

tablers gathered at Chrome to enjoy the Saturday night fever over drinks and

drinks only.

Mar 27th :

An all tables HOLI fellowship was celebrated at Chrome outdoors just close to the

sea shore.

Mar 29th :

Rascal fellowship at Tr.Sandeep Chitra’s house to celebrate his birthday. Couple

of tablers attended and bashed into their house to celebrate his bday.

Mar 31st :

It’s not just continuation of the 29th Mar but much more. Rajani Chitra made some

lovely arrangements to surprise her hubby Tr.Sandeep Chitra to remind him that

he has reached 40 years. Call it a happy news or sad news …… fact remains that

he is turning 40 years of age. Wonderful arrangements and what a lovely wife !

Following programs are conducted :

The convener Tr.Naveen Perla and Tr.Umesh have been donating 100 Kgs

of Rice to the challenged school at Srikakulum every month starting from

January onwards. Same will be continued till 2013 December.

Tr.Dr.Suresh and Tr.Deepak donated toiletry items required for all the

kids for the same Srikakulum school.

One old computer was donated to Vasant Bala School as per their

requirements.

Feb 2nd – 3rd :

Tr.Naveen Perla attended the NLC of RTI held at Bangalore and he now claims to

be better tabler than ever before. Illusions cannot be avoided. (on a lighter note)

Feb 21st :

The exercise on Vision Wheel was conducted at the meeting to assess where the

table stands by trainer Sq.Leg.Aanand Khara. An 1 hour session followed the

Vision Wheel and SWOT analysis was done for the year ahead.

Jan 3th :

Twlkr.Ishita (Tr.Jaydeep’s daughter) celebrated her birthday and a cake of her

favourite flavour was sent to her on this special day. All these cakes which are

sent to twinkler’s are personally taken by Tr.Sandeep Choudari to their residence

and are given to the kid.

3rd Feb :

Twlkr.Jainaa celebrated her birthday and

invited all the ladies and kids of 77 family. As

usual cake was presented to her on her

birthday on behalf of the table and all the kids

had a blast at the party.

7th Feb :

It was time to welcome the youngest member to

77 family. Twlkr.Deveshi Gupta (Tr.Devesh &

Nidhi’s daughter). A welcome party was hosted

by Tr.Devesh to which all his friends were

invited. Loads of wishes were

showered for the youngest kid and

everyone enjoyed the hospitality of the host.

22nd Mar :

Tr.Naveen Perla and Manasa were blessed with twin baby girls. This is the first

time that a 77ner was blessed with twins. The kids and mother were doing fine.

28th Mar:

Tr.GVS Ramayya and Hymavathi were blessed with

baby girl (2nd kid). Mother and the kid were doing

fine.

With this youngest twinkler, the final tally stands at

6 new twinklers in this tabling year.

Mar 30th :

Twinklers dayout……. The convenor wanted all the kids to relax from their

regular routine of exams and tensions and planned an early fellowship in the pool

with vide spread of breakfast.

30th Mar:

Twklr. Aadi Khara ( Tr.Samir Khara’s son) celebrated his birthday today. All his

friends were invited to his residence to party. Birthday cake of his favourite

flavour was presented to him on this special day on behalf of the table.

10th Feb :

The Theosophical society ( RTI Vasant Bala School) has invited entire table of 77

for attending their 125th year celebrations. Tr.Ameet , IPC occupied the seat on

the dias as Guest of Honor. During the celebration Tr.Ameet spoke about the

association with the society and spoke about the work done by RTI.

Mar 2nd : On the eve of the Parents Day meet , bonsai plants were gifted to the National

President Tr.Vineet and Area Chairman Tr.Kishore and to all the parents who

were present for the function.

The much awaited extension is finally happening on from April 26th onwards till

April 28th……. RT Singapore. Couple of tablers from 77 are planning to be there

at helm of things when history will be created.

10th Jan 2013 for the very first time , VRT 77 blog was launched in par with RTI

blog.The blog got inaugurated through the hands of Sq.leg.Aanand Khara and

Sq.leg.Murali at the meeting.

The Treasure informed the balances as on 31st March 2013 as follows :

The Secretary has been sending all the emails , notifications

,updates received to the table on time to time basis. All

minutes have been circulated to all across RTI within

24 hours on completion of the meeting. Even the

minutes are updated on MOMO on regular basis.

Super Secretary pin was also won consecutively

for 2 times till now. Secreretary got honoured with

the 2nd pin by the National President during his visit to

Vizag at the joint meeting with all the four tables.

30th year of table themed ; “Aspiring to Inspire” ………… adopted by the

Chairman for his year. Its not easy to accept the mantle of Chairmanship for any

table across RTI. Its even more difficult to accept the jewel of a table like VRT 77,

as the expectations are high especially if the table is represented with tablers at

the National board. The planning was exceptional and the execution till 3rd

quarter has been superb. Internal extensions, external extensions, socials,

fellowships, special events, “Project ASSAM”, HR sessions……………….. well you

can’t complain for any left overs. Apart from the all this Tr.Dr.Raghu will be in the

National Head Board 2013-14 as NTTE alongwith Tr.Deepak Menda as NVP. Wow!

Wishing them all the very best not just for this tabling year but for all their future

endeavours.

Apart from the above, the process for inducting 4 new members is on. Besides,

the work for external extension at Vijiyanagaram alongwith VVRT 213 has also

started. Hopefully both these projects will be taking off in the last quarter.

Train The Trainers (TTT) also will be hosted by the table from 19th till 21st April.

This is the first time that the event is being hosted in non metro city.

A major fundraising cum publicity event “STRINGS” in association with CMT

College is also planned to be hosted on the 13th April at Vizag. The funds raised

from the event will be utilised for FIRST SMILE project.

In nut shell, the coming months will be completely action packed with major

events in all facets of tabling……………….
