Built for the bottom line.
Our 3700 Series manure spreaders are
backed by the support of your Massey
Ferguson dealer.
More than 100 years of experience in every spreader.
In 1899, schoolmaster Joseph Oppenheim turned inventor and introduced the first commer-cially successful mechanical manure spreader. Master Oppenheim’s invention became the famous New Idea brand of manure spreaders. Created to keep his pupils out of the fields and in the classroom, the first New Idea spreader evolved to become the brand that set the standard for spreader performance, durability and reliability decade after decade.
In 1993 AGCO® Corporation became the proud owner of the rich New Idea heritage. In this new century, we still design and manufacture every 3700 Series spreader based on the same three basic principles which guided Joseph Oppenheim: make manure handling easier, free up more time for other tasks, and provide controlled, uniform distribution.
Today’s Massey Ferguson 3700 Series spreaders are among the most efficient available, thanks to features like our strategically spaced beater paddles and corrosion-resistant conveyor slats. And every 3700 Series spreader is constructed using the most advanced techniques, like robotic welding and computer-aided manufacturing, to ensure all components fit precisely and function flawlessly. Pick the exact size you need by choosing from eight different models then tailor it with options to match the unique demands of your operation.
We're looking forward to telling you
about our exceptional line of 3700 Series
manure spreaders now available through
your Massey Ferguson® dealer.
Massey Ferguson, a world leader in tractor
and harvesting equipment, boasts a long
tradition of high-quality products spanning
nearly two centuries. Products such as the
self-propelled combine, the first tractors
with 3-point hitch and the famous Ferguson
Hydraulic System are all a part of Massey
Ferguson’s rich heritage and legacy
of leadership.
Now, we are pleased to add the 3700
Series spreaders built with the proven
New Idea® technology and quality to the
Massey Ferguson family of products that
make your life and business easier.
We're looking forward to telling you
about our exceptional line of 3700 Series
Welcome to our 3700 Series brochure.
Choice of eight Options to meet Solid One-piece different sizes every need construction floor and sides
Maybe you’ve got 50 dairy cows or maybe you’re finish-ing 15,000 beef steers in your feedlot. Either way, your Massey Ferguson dealer has the right manure spreader for your operation.
Our 3700 Series offer eight different spreader models to choose from. Pick the exact size you need, then tailor it with options to match the unique demands of your operation.
Capacities range from 59 cu. ft. (1.7 m3) struck level to 270 cu. ft. (7.6 m3) struck level, so you can be sure you’re getting maximum operating efficiency, no matter what size your operation. Order the optional hydraulic conveyor drive, available on our four largest models, and choose the exact spreading speed you want – from 0 to 8.4 ft./min (0 to 2.6 m/min) (maximum 6.8 ft./min (2.1 m/min) on Model 3743).
For increased flexibility, pick from a multitude of addi-tional options to fine-tune any model to fit your specific needs. For example, two separate torque reduction kits let you reduce conveyor speed by either 20% or 50%, for more even spreading and longer spreader life. Other options include an upper beater, a low-profile hydraulic endgate, heat-treated paddle tips, and a slurry pan.

Constant-velocity PTO: (not available on the 3709) ensures tight, chatter-free turns, reduces stress on driveline and cuts maintenance.
One-piece, copper-bearing steel sides: resists acid/basic corrosion and stands up to repeated freezing/thawing; seamless design reduces leakage.
Strategically spaced and angled beater paddles: aggressively shred a wide range of manure consistencies – from hard slabs to sloppy feedlot scrapings — and spread it evenly.
One-piece, all-welded frame: reduces twisting and flexing that can shorten spreader life; eliminates bolted joints that can vibrate and pull apart. 7-gauge, high-strength main channel handles heavy loads and high stress levels during operation.
Posi-Lock conveyor chains: Instead of specifying average chain strengths, we specify minimum strength, so there are no weak links. Enclosed two-speed gearbox:
(optional on 3709) drives both conveyor and beater with combination bevel- and worm-type drive, for reduced downtime and maintenance.
Chain adjustment gauge: makes maintenance easy; allows at-a-glance check of conveyor chain tension.
Features that handle the job.
We understand the gravity of environmental issues, so we developed spreaders that help you be a good steward of your land. Concerns about runoff, nitrogen levels and other environmental challenges mean spread patterns must be controlled. That’s why all our spreaders feature a unique beater paddle design, to aggressively shred all types of manure and apply a finely shredded, even coat to your fields. Plus, we offer options, like torque reduction kits and hydraulic conveyor drive, to eliminate tough- to-work clumps and runoff that could threaten water supplies.
With more than 100 years of spreading experience, we’ve learned what it takes to stand up to rough terrain, corrosive acids, freezing temperatures and more. Plus, we understand how construction details, like beater paddle design and placement, can affect spread pattern.
That’s why we design smart, hard-working features into all our Massey Ferguson manure spreaders. For example, our beater paddles are strategically spaced and angled to unload manure faster and spread it more evenly and efficiently. Each beater is designed like a ripsaw blade, with fewer paddles, so each paddle cuts deeper into the manure to aggressively shred consistencies from hard slab to sloppy scrapings.
Other advanced features — like high-strength, cold-drawn slats; our Posi-Lock conveyor chains; and a encased gearbox — ensure your 3700 Series spreader stands up to harsh weather and corrosion.

Spreaders that can dish it out – and take it.
