P & F EXECUTIVE 2019

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for attending our P and F meetings this year and for your ongoing support for the St Anthony’s community. Our P and F committee continues to be an active and positive team and we look forward to this continuing into the future.

I would like to acknowledge and thank the outgoing President, Mrs Cathie Williamson for her incredible dedication and commitment to our P and F over the last two years. Cathie and Mrs Heidi Howgate will be taking on the Fete Coordinators roles for 2019.

We welcome Mrs Desiree Jenetsky as President and Mrs Heidi Howgate and Mrs Chloe Brown as Vice President in 2019 and thank them for volunteering for these roles and continue to thank Mrs Wendy Tompkins who will continue the Secretary role and Mrs

Kaylene Carroll who will continue the Treasurer role.

WELL BEING WEEK This week we have called Well Being Week at our school, where we try to minimize or give no homework to the students. It will be

an opportunity for families to reconnect and take a break from the regular and ongoing pressures of week to week schooling. While all

normal lessons and curriculum teaching continues, the additional work such as homework will be alleviated and we encourage students

to take the time to be with friends and family and in particular engage in activities in the outdoors.

Duke’s Hair with Heart One of our amazing Prep students, Duke Kwoksun-Campbell, has been growing his hair since birth with the idea to donate to be made into a wig for a child with cancer. Next Monday at our assembly, he will have his hair cut off and donated. This is obviously a big moment for Duke and his family and St Luke’s is most proud to support them. It is very expensive process to take the hair and make it into a wig. To assist, the Kwocksun-Campbell's have been raising funds through Variety. If you would like to donate, please access Duke’s page via the following link. https://hairwithheart.everydayhero.com/au/dukes-hair-with-heart St Vincent de Paul- Christmas Appeal This week marks the start of our contribution as a school community to the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. The SVDP Christmas Appeal serves to bring joy to families and individuals who may need a little extra support. We invite families to once again assist by donating non-perishable food items (e.g. canned goods, tea/coffee, pasta, dry food, etc.) and Christmas treats (no toys please). Boxes will be set up in classrooms and the office for donations. Any donations would be most welcome.
