ShoesIn Stage 1 the competitors can use normal running shoes. In Stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 it is recommended to wear orienteering shoes. Last part of stage 5 is on paved areas (500mt.)

and 1800 meters above the sea level; There are 12 controls in the terrain, Controls will be collected in the afternoon of 2nd of July

STAGE 1, 30TH JUNE – AURONZOThe stage is a sprint distance race; it’s an urban area. There are gardens around houses and/or residences. The distance from Arena to the Event Centre is about 800mt.. In Stage 1 the competitors can use normal running shoes.The competition arena is located near the football fi eld of Auronzo

Two Starts will be arranged: Start 1 (blue) and one Start 2 (red) but with the starting procedures.The bibs have the color according to the Start.

The distance between the Arena and the Start 2 is 700mt with 30mt climb, about 10 minutes walk.

The maps are printed on blue-back paper, water-resistant. Map is A4 format (21x29)

All course starting from start 1 will have a map change. The second part of the race will be on the back of the fi rst part, all courses with the map change will have the maps in a plastic bag. The

second part of the course will continue with the point sequence. The control description available before the start will be for the entire course.

Competitors starting at Start 1 will receive a warm up map during their way to the start.

No warm up map for Start 2.As the main road through Auronzo is very

busy all courses will have a mandatory road crossing in the same place between control

point 98 and control point 99. When the competitor has punched control point 98 his/her time will stop, the competitor can then cross the main road of Auronzo in 2

minutes. Once over the road the competitor will punch the 99 control point and his time will start running again. Organizers may delay the start before the 99 point to avoid queues.

At the competition arena there will be a gym that can be used as a backpack storage for competitors, the gym is close to the fi nish line.

The fi rst start is at 15:00.

Start triangle 50 mt from the maps on both starts.

Max time 1 h.

The forest is predominately conifer with good/very good visibility, rich in clear areas. Last november 2018 there was an hurrican in this area. A lot of trees have fallen and not all of them have yet been recovered. We decide to use special symbos to show areas and single trees
