We will pray for your requests and join in with you to praise God for answered prayers. Fill out the peach prayer request card and drop it into one of the baskets on the communion table. Communion Tonight We plan to celebrate communion together. We invite you to participate if you are a Christ-follower. Reflect quietly and examine yourself. When ready, go to the communion table for the bread and cup. Take the elements individually when you are ready. You do not need to be a member of our church to participate. Tonight: Guard Your Faith In football there are two offensive guards. We’ll learn tonight that there are two guards when it comes to your Christian faith as well. We’ll learn three important steps to keeping our faith as strong as possible. Get out your Bibles and turn to 2 Timothy 1:8-14! White Donation Envelope We appreciate your worship by the giving of your tithes and offerings to support the ministry of Church Requel. Use the white envelope in your program and drop it in one of the offering baskets on your way out. Thanks for your continued generosity and faithfulness. Thanks! 3 Ways to Follow the Pattern A. ___ KNOW ___ the Words of God. “ 13 Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me .” 2 Timothy 1:13a ESV “...for I know whom I have believed, ...” 2 Timothy 1:12b ESV B. ___ SHARE ___ the Words of God. 8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord,” 2 Timothy 1:8a 1st way - Support / Encourage / Partner with those who are actively pronouncing the gospel. “...nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,” 2 Timothy 1:8b ESV 2nd way - Find and live out my own purpose and calling. 3 Ways to Follow the Pattern
A. ___KNOW___ the Words of God.
“13 Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me.” 2 Timothy 1:13a ESV
“...for I know whom I have believed, ...” 2 Timothy 1:12b ESV
B. ___SHARE___ the Words of God.
8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord,” 2 Timothy 1:8a
1st way - Support / Encourage / Partner with those who are actively pronouncing the gospel.
“...nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,” 2 Timothy 1:8b ESV
2nd way - Find and live out my own purpose and calling.[Our Lord] saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us.”

Dreamcoat Sermon Series Begins Next WeekThis evening Mary Kay and I are away with my father in
Myrtle Beach. I’ve pre-recorded this evening’s last sermon in our football series, “Guard Your Faith.” Of the 4 sermons, I think this one is my favorite. I hope it means as much to you as it did to me as I was writing it.
Next week I’ll be back and we’ll begin a brand new sermon series about the life of Joseph. We’re calling it Dreamcoat. Sermons include “Dreaming Ugly,” “The Green Giant,” “Thanks for Nothing,” and “Thanks for Everything.” You won’t want to miss a single one!
