Three day workshop on “Power Plant Engineering” was held during 04th

to 06th November 2016, organized by Department of Electrical Engineering at Shri

Guru GobindSinghji Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vishnupuri, Nanded,

an autonomous institute affiliated to the Government of Maharashtra in association

with National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India,

western region, Nagpur. It was sponsored by Technical Education Quality

Improvement Program phase-II (TEQIP-II) of Government of India.

Workshop focused on bringing out practical aspects of power plant

engineering and recent trends in renewable energy. Beside, the workshop also

aimed to enhance industrial and academic interaction and provide base to the

students for preparation of technical interviews.

Three day workshop on “Power System Analysis and Simulation: Hands on

Training on MiPower” was held during 15th to 17th October 2015, organized by

Department of Electrical Engineering at Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of

Engineering & Technology, Vishnupuri, Nanded, an autonomous institute

affiliated to the Government of Maharashtra in association with Power Research

and Development Consultant (PRDC) Pvt. Ltd,, Bangalore, India. It was sponsored

by Technical Education Quality Improvement Program phase-II (TEQIP-II) of

Government of India.

Workshop focused on bringing out practical aspects of power system studies

using MiPower simulation software. Beside, the workshop also aimed to enhance

industrial and academic interaction and provide base to the students for preparation

of technical interviews.
