DEVELOPING THE TREATMENT AND THE PITCH

FIRST ACT- SET UPSECOND ACT- CONFRONTATIONTHIRD ACT- RESOLUTION We see a girl and her family all appearing to look happy and normal. However, it is revealed to the audience that the girls father is in a lot of debt to someone and he has no way of paying him this large amount of money back.

Our protagonist, who is a young girl, originally comes across to the audience as a typical, sweet, innocent teenager. She obtains the need of love and affection from a father figure, however due to her father constantly being focused on other aspects of life such as work, she does not receive this to the extent she wants. However, her father is a loving man and is only taking part in so much work for the good of the family, it just so happens that his daughter does not understand this.Unknown to the audience, the protagonists main goal is to replace her father. The girl is unaware that really, she is mentally unstable and that is her fatal flaw. As a result of the girls father not being able to repay the debt, she is kidnapped. This makes her family feel incredibly upset and traumatised, it also makes her father feel strong emotions of guilt as he knows he is the reason why his daughter has been taken. He goes looking for his daughter, however she is nowhere to be found. Instead, he receives body parts of her to his door, hinting that she is severely injured. The body parts are things such as a finger combined with lots of blood.He then finds a trace to where his daughter might be held and so goes searching in that direction.

The girl returns home with the masked man who has supposedly kidnapped her. Although her family are incredibly thankful to see her, they are full with anger and hatred to see the man behind it all. Furthermore, they are confused to see their daughter with no injuries whatsoever.The girl then announces that she has been part of the plan the whole time, and has been working with the masked man that is owed money.The parents finally become aware of her psychological disorder, and realise she is incapable of changing, even with help. After a huge argument, the girl murders her father in the most violent way, and reveals to the rest of her family that the masked man she has been working with will be the new father of the house, whether they like it or not. The audience become aware that the girl has been behind it all along, and really she has never been innocent, but instead a cruel and villainous person.She has achieved her goal is satisfied with the outcome.
