Dear Parents

As we come to the end of a busy Term 1, I wish to thank my staff for the outstanding

effort and dedication they all place into their daily tasks at school. They are an inspira-

tional group of educators who always have the students’ best interests at heart.

I also thank the children and their parents for all the positive support that you give to

the school. We are fortunate indeed to have such a well behaved and mannered group of

students.

Our school cross country was a great success yesterday and I congratulate McKenna

House on their victory. A special thank you to Mr Maher who organised the event.

An important reminder to parents that school starts again on Tuesday, 17 April, 2012.

The clothing pool will be open on Monday,16 April 2012 from 10.00 until 11.00 a.m.

On behalf of the staff, I would like to wish the school community a blessed, peaceful

and safe Easter.

2013 ENROLMENTS

As we are fielding enquiries for enrolments for

2013, we need to know what spaces we have

available.

To help in this regard, it is important that cur-

rent school families who will have a child en-

tering Prep in 2013 complete an enrolment

form as soon as possible.

We already have a healthy enrolment for the

Prep class next year and there are only limited

places available.

Interviews will be held in May.

It is also important that families who will be

leaving the school at the end of 2012 let us

know as soon as a decision has been finalized

CLOTHING POOL: This year if you require

any uniforms, please contact Shannon Daffey

for an individual appointment. Her mobile

number is : 0467 903 246.

SCHOOL FEES School Fees are now overdue. Please pay

outstanding amounts as soon as possible.

Please remember that these fees help with the

smooth running of the school and are vital to

pay for most of our everyday expenses.

It would be appreciated if any families having

difficulty meeting this commitment could con-

tact me as soon as possible.

P & F NEWS

The school and P & F would like to thank the Horton family

for their generous donation in appreciation of the school

community’s assistance with catering.

The P & F is holding a pie drive to raise funds. An order

form has been sent home to every family today. Please com-

plete the form and return it to the school with the money

by Monday, 30 April 2012. Your orders may be

collected from the school on Thursday, 10 May 2012.

Cycle

Safety On the 8th and 15th of March

the year 6/7 class went to the

Cycle Safety Unit on Neil

Street in Toowoomba on the

Police Citizen Youth Club

Buses. Our instructors were

CJ and Karen. They were

very nice people. At Cycle

Safety the class learnt all of

the bike rules and road rules.

We rode bikes for half of the

day and the other half was

spent learning inside with CJ.

The Cycle Safety lessons are

taught to keep children safe

on the road when riding their

bikes. We had a tremendous

amount of fun!
