ButwhateverweregainstomeInowconsiderlossforthesakeofChrist.Whatismore,IconsidereverythingalossbecauseofthesurpassingworthofknowingChrist Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider themgarbage,thatImaygainChristandbefoundinHim,nothavingarighteousnessofmyownthatcomesfromthelaw,butthatwhichisthroughfaithinChrist—the righteousness that comes fromGodon the basis of faith. Iwant to knowChrist—yes, to know the power of His resurrecLon and parLcipaLon in Hissufferings, becoming likeHim inHis death, and so, somehow, aNaining to theresurrecLonfromthedead.

Wecouldmakealotofgoalsforourkids.We,nodoubt,havegreatdreamsandaspira;onsforthem.Wewantwhatisbest,anditisimportanttorememberthereisnogreateraspira;onorgoalweshouldhaveforthemthanthattheyknowandexperiencethefullnessofJesusChrist.

Prayyouwouldkeepthispriorityandyourstudentwouldnotjust“knowabout”buttrulyKNOWJesus.

Youarethelightoftheworld.Atownbuiltonahillcannotbehidden.Neitherdopeoplelightalampandputitunderabowl.Insteadtheyputitonitsstand,anditgiveslighttoeveryoneinthehouse.Inthesameway,letyourlightshinebefore others, that theymay see your good deeds and glorify your Father inheaven.

MaNhew5:14-16 Itcangetoverwhelmingwhenwethinkaboutthedarknesspresentinthisworld.Itcangetdownrightscarywhenwethinkaboutourkidswalkingintothatdarkness.Yet,here’sthethingaboutdarkness…itissimplytheabsenceoflight.Toputitanotherway,whenlightanddarknessfaceoff,lightwins…every?me.
