At Fira Barcelona, we understand that an essential feature of the SDGs is the fact that they are interconnected, overlapping to forge a path towards the delivery of tangible and transformative benefits.

In 2019, Fira Barcelona put a name to an initiative that had in fact been in place for several years: Towards Inclusivity is a sequence of actions making sure that the organization’s events are inclusive and accessible to all, taking into account factors such as disability, gender and beliefs.

A forward-thinking city, Barcelona City Council is committed to complying with the 2030 Agenda. The institution is spearheading the transition towards the creation of a resilient, habitable city with zero emissions and zero poverty by 2030.

Government of Spain

Spain is making waves in sustainability. According to the Sustainable Development Report 2019, the country ranks 21st out of 162 nations in terms of implementation of the 17 SDGs, and the Government is committed to and involved in supporting and fulfilling the aims of the 2030 Agenda.

Government of Catalonia

The interdepartmental Commission for the 2030 Agenda of the Generalitat, is already working in the National Plan to implement the 2030 Agenda in Catalonia. The plan includes more than 900 commitments of the Catalan govermment to achive the 17SDGs, with commitments to reach within the territory (88% of the total) and Catalonia towards the international community (12% of the total).
