With a population of 1.32 billion and a GDP growth at 7.5%, one of the key mega trends unfolding in India is “urbanisation”. Under this framework, ISH India powered by IPA has been established to match the demands of progressive markets as one of the leading trade fair for bathroom experience, building services and renewable energies.

'ISH India Powered by IPA' is a collaborative venture between Messe Frankfurt and the Indian Plumbing Association, India's national body representing the plumbing industry. The show will be launched alongside leading existing exhibition organisers and industry bodies such as ACREx India, Fire & Safety India Expo and FENSTERbAU FRoNTALE INDIA in collaboration with ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating and Refrigeration Engineers), Fire & Safety Association of India and NürnbergMesse coming together for the first time with a vision to create this ‘build Fair Alliance’ in accordance with Indian government’s development vision for smart cities.

The Indian construction market is expected to be the world's third largest by 2020.

The Indian sanitary-ware market accounts for 8% of the global production and ranks second in terms of volume in the Asia-Pacific region, estimated to be valued around US$ 427 million US$ in 2014. The demand for sanitary ware is highest in residential sector followed by demand from commercial sector including malls, hotels, and hospitals.

Modular kitchens account for an estimated 25% of the organised home interior market. The modular kitchen market in India has been growing at a rapid rate of CAGR 51.87%.
