PURPOSE:
PRIMARY 4 GEP MEET THE PARENTS SESSION
To provide updates and information on Academic Subjects and observations of your child’s transition into the GE Programme and SHPS.
PRIMARY 4 GEP ASSESSMENT
WEIGHTED ASSESSMENT
• No more than 1 weighted assessment per subject per school term, on top of any mid-year or year-end exam
• May be conducted over a period in the term
NON-WEIGHTED ASSESSMENT
“There is nothing wrong with having examinations and class tests, but we need to use them in suitable quantities. They are part and parcel of teaching and learning. They help teachers
gauge their students’ learning and students to gauge their own learning along the way.” - Minister Ong Ye Kung at Schools Work Plan Seminar, 2018
• Scores are not counted toward overall results in a subject but are important components in curriculum
• To check for understanding and support students to achieve learning outcomes
