This year's holiday delight is a festive stack of pure light and color. The surface's interplay of overlapping shapes evokes the layered branches of a tall evergreen from somewhere deep in a forest. Bands of warm colors interweave amongst the surface, becoming twinkling garlands. A fluorescent starburst blossoms atop the configuration, whilst colored blinking lights punctuating the exterior round out the jubilant pageantry. May the holidays abound with color this year! ABOUT THE Artists Internationally acclaimed public artist Karl Unnasch has created Downtown Silver Spring’s Re-Imagining the Holidays art installation for the past seven years. This holiday season he partnered with Michael Cimino and local DMV artists Michelle Izquierdo, Vanessa Smith, and Erick Satchell II to colloborate on a piece of thought provoking public art to dazzle and delight. www.karlunnasch.com
