Graffiti should be removed from property immediately. Homeowners should report graffiti posted on the common areas around the neighborhood immediately and notify business owners or storefront operators of graffiti on their property and encourage them to remove it as soon as possible. Graffiti on private property is the responsibility of the homeowner. It is not a police matter or the responsibility of the HOA board. However, the HOA board will provide guidance on how to effectively remove graffiti.

PLEASE RECYCLEDo not throw cans, glass bottles, or plastic containers out with your trash. Use the small blue rectangular container for these items. You pay for this service as part of your Tuesday trash pick-up! Note: Please do not place non-recyclable items in the small blue recycle bin. Non-recyclable items should be placed in the large trash bin.

Reminder:Heavy trash pickup occurs on Wednesdays. Putting out heavy trash too far in advance can detract from the neighborhood and exposes trash to the elements where debris can inadvertently spill onto the street or onto your neighbor’s lawn.

HOA Monthly Board Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at the Mission Bend Club House located at 6945 Addicks Clodine Rd at 7:00 pm. Homeowners are welcome to attend!

Tips to Paying Off Credit Card Debt:

There is no one true “best” way to eliminate credit card debt, as doing so all depends on your individual situation. Options are to pay off each card individually, transfer balances to a single card, request a lower interest rate or get a loan to pay off the balances.

Whatever your financial goals, paying off credit card debt is a good step in the right direction. The below pay-down tips and strategies provide guidance how to pay off credit card debt.

1. Pay Off the Balance with the Highest Annual Percent Rate (APR) FirstThis strategy is pretty straight forward. Look at all of your balances and interest rates associated with each card. Whichever card has the highest APR focus on paying it off first (while still making minimum payments on your other cards). Once the debt is entirely paid off, you move on to the card that has the next highest APR, and so on. To implement this, you simply boost your payments on that card up to whatever you can afford and stick with it.

2. Pay Off the Card with the Lowest Balance FirstThis may be a good strategy as it is a great way to build up a little momentum and see the results of your hard work sooner. With this strategy, you increase your payment on the credit card with the lowest balance, while continuing to make the minimum payment on the rest of your credit cards. Once you pay off the card with the lowest balance, you move onto the card with the next lowest balance, and so on.

3. Consolidate Your Debt to a Single Card or LoanLike things simple? This pay-down strategy might be for you. By consolidating your credit card debt to a single card or a debt consolidation loan, you will make a single payment each month rather than four or five. You can even automate payments so you do not have to worry about paying late.

4. Understanding How You Got HereThat piece of plastic in your wallet can be a great tool. Not only can you use your credit card to help you pay for the things you need, but doing so can help you build credit. In November 2016, Experian reported the average debt per consumer is $39,216. High balances and high finance charges can put a real drain on your wallet and limit your financial options. If balances linger long enough, they could keep you from buying a home, as your credit card debt can affect your credit.

5. Get OrganizedNo matter which pay-down strategy you choose, step one is to get organized. Gather all your credit card information for every card that has a balance. The Experian Report showed that the average consumer has 2.4 bank cards with an average balance of $5,551.If you can afford to pay more than the minimum payment on one or more of your cards do it.

6. Stop ChargingWhatever pay-down strategy you choose, it is essential to curb your credit card spending. It is hard to pay down credit card debt when you keep ringing up new balances each month.
