becoming richer.

More employers are providing funding through fixed or discretionary non-matching contributions as reported for 28% of 401(k) plans in this study.

In addition, more organizations are making it easier to participate in pre-tax savings plans by adding

Fifty-seven percent of the survey participants offer a CDHP option. Of those companies offering a CDHP, 81% provide employer funding through either a Health Savings Account or a Health Reimbursement Account.

Spousal Surcharge Employers are offsetting the rising cost of health insurance by placing restrictions on spousal coverage.

When a spouse has access to other coverage through his/her employer, eight percent of organizations in this study charge an additional spousal surcharge fee.

WellnessIncentivesEmployers continue to implement wellness strategies and incentive based premium structures.

Sixteen percent offer discounts for non-tobacco use and 16% offer lower premiums for completing wellness activities.
