Rock and Roll Jubilee

Sunday, September 24, 2017 - 3:00pm

Mathews High School Auditorium

The Rock n’ Roll Jubilee is a musical and theatrical performance

that pays tribute to the founding fathers of rock & roll in the context

of a live 1958 broadcast on the fictitious radio station WJKS

(“Where Joy Kills Sorrow”). The Jubilee features music from the

Titans of Teen Town: Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison,

The Everly Brothers and Ricky Nelson. It’s a celebration of the

music that changed the world, and you’re invited!

The Rock & Roll Jubilee combines the theatrical elements of Prairie

Home Companion and the Grand Old Opry with the excitement of

the old barnstorming rock and roll tours of the late 1950s. The show

stars singers Craig Evans and Brad Tucker, whose interpretations of

the songs of the founders of rock and roll can only be described as

extraordinary. In addition to the greatest songs ever written, The

Jubilee includes a rocking live band, comedy skits, 1950s period

commercials, and lots of laughs and surprises.

TWO ON TAP

Good Shot, Judy

Sunday, October 22, 2017 - 3:00pm

Mathews High School Auditorium

TWO ON TAP marks the creative collaboration of celebrated

musical theatre performers Melissa Giattino and Ron DeStefano.

Since debuting in February 2010, TWO ON TAP has entertained

Sunday, March 18, 2018 - 3:00pm

Mathews High School Auditorium

Born out of the idea that jazz music didn’t have to be

performed as background or “museum music,” Good Shot

Judy was created by brothers Brett and Jeff Cahoon in early

2013. Initially they performed as a jazz trio with Brett on

piano and vocals, Jeff on upright bass, and friend Mike

Smith on drums. The guys quickly found out that they

weren’t alone in believing that the music they loved so well

could also be performed in a way that was very entertaining

and energetic, when they quickly started growing a fan base

and attracting other musicians around Hampton Roads and

Richmond Virginia.

As the group grew and changed adding drummer Buz King,

and saxophonists Brandon Musko, and Art Martin to the full

time lineup, the repertoire also changed exponentially. “We

went from performing mostly lots of Sinatra and straight

ahead jazz ballads to really focusing on keeping people

entertained and on the dance floor. Upbeat swing, mambo,

tens of thousands at theatrical concerts across the USA, gala

events, and headline performances onboard luxury cruise

liners.

Heralded by presenters and critics, TWO ON TAP aims to

breathe new life into classic song-and-dance with clever

arrangements, a meaningful connection to the audience, and

exciting high-energy routines. Recent accomplishments

include multiple appearances at the National World War II

Museum in New Orleans, headline spots on Queen Mary

2’s historic transatlantic route, and multiple community

concert tours

including over

100 cities

throughout the

Midwestern and

Mountain states.

In addition to

their

appearances

throughout the

world on Princess and Cunard Cruises, TWO ON TAP

maintains an active concert schedule in the US with

performance tours through the Pacific Northwest, the

Midwest, and Florida.
