YOUR COURSE CONTENT Module International Management (18 ECTS) This Module covers a broad range of International Business Studies topics: International Strategy, Organisation & Leadership E.g., Country Analysis, Market Entry Strategies, International Corporate Strategies, International HRM International Trade, Finance & Investment E.g., Globalisation, International Trade Theory, Econo- mic Integration, Export Finance, Foreign Direct Investments International Marketing E.g., International Market Research, International Marketing Planning, Marketing-Mix across Borders Projects and Cases in International Management Students apply knowledge to practical cases, example: Establishment of a Marketing Plan for the Introduction of “Smoothies” to the US Market Current Issues in International Management Guided independent research work on application- oriented topics relevant to the international manager Excursion “Marketing in 3 Countries” or International Business Game Excursion (winter term): Within one single day you will travel to Belgium, the Netherlands, and through Germany, investigating real-life cases to contrast the different approaches to marketing in these three countries. International Business Game (summer term): Students work in different teams in a global business simulation game with competitive teams in different European countries. YOUR COURSE CONTENT Module Comparative International Business Studies (4 ECTS) Students will establish to explain the differences between Germany and their home country in terms of different criteria in working life. They will discuss how countries can learn from each other. Module Elective (3 ECTS) Students will attend an elective. This course may be e.g. Scenario Planning or a German language course. Scenario Planning intends to help students to understand the general importance of scenario planning, to gain familiarity with the principle concepts and techniques of scenario planning, to gain expertise in the effective and efficient application of these concepts and techniques in a real world business situation, to improve their abilities in formulating, presenting and defending own assessments and positions. Module Intercultural Communication (5 ECTS) E.g., Cultural Norms and Values, Communicating across Cultural Boundaries, Role Games All classes are taught in English.
