MARKET-LEADING LEARNING TOOLS
SCHEDULERInternship schedules managed online. Fisdap Scheduler gets students’ clinical internship schedules online where educators, clinicians, preceptors, and students can all view and interact with the live calendar. • Schedule one-time shifts, A/B/C shifts, or shifts that repeat every day
• Restrict who goes where and when by limiting shifts to EMTs, AEMTs, or Paramedics
• Control when students can sign up for shifts with rolling dates or hard deadlines
• Customize which shifts can be traded or dropped by your students
• Increase efficiency by managing students’ prerequisites and requirements
• Prevent double booking and share calendars with other schools using Shared Scheduler
• Ensure student vaccinations and background checks are up-to-date
• Associate valid and reliable evaluations that measure the affective domain

SKILLS TRACKERCustomizable, mobile-ready documentation. Students complete patient care reports and document their skill acquisition experience online and via Fisdap Mobile. The Skills Tracker has customizable patient care reports for lab experience and ambulance and hospital shifts.
Reports that display competencies. A robust set of reports help educators track student progress and measure competency. Fisdap features Eureka Graphs, which provide a statistically proven, visual representation of the total number of skill attempts and the tipping point at which students become predictably competent.
Scenarios and simulations. Measure skill acquisition and proficiency in the classroom. Save time by documenting all the information online—rather than using paper and pencil forms.
PRECEPTORTraining good clinicians to be excellent mentors. This video-based course, featuring acclaimed educator David Page, teaches the basics of mentorship, listening techniques, delivering feedback, and adult education. The entire course can be completed in as little as 4 hours, or can be watched over time as lectures are divided into individual topics. Plus, individuals who successfully complete the course are eligible to receive 4 hours of CECBEMS credit.

COMPREHENSIVE EXAMS200 question, full-length summative exams assess the breadth of the comprehensive curriculum. The fully secured and proctored exams follow the National Registry of EMTs Task Analysis blueprint. This way, exams can map the number of airway, pediatric, cardiac arrest, and other questions to the reality of what providers experience in the field.
97% OF STUDENTS WHO PASS THE FISDAP COMPREHENSIVE EXAM PASS THE NREMT COGNITIVE EXAM ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT.
UNIT EXAMSTo prepare students for a challenging comprehensive exam, Fisdap Unit Exams provide educator insights during the formative stages of the course. By finding knowledge gaps early, educators can remediate throughout the course.
TESTING OPTIONS
STUDY TOOLSStudy Tools provide students an opportunity to gain additional exposure to test questions. Whereas other Fisdap exams are secure and must be administered in a proctored environment, Study Tools is an independent TestPrep tool for students offering quizzes and practice tests. These test questions allow students to review their attempts and test questions. Subject matter experts have annotated feedback to help students think critical about test questions.
ENTRANCE EXAM FOR PARAMEDIC STUDENTSThis unique exam can be used to evaluate applicants as an admissions tool or to perform a diagnostic analysis of a new student cohort. The Entrance Exam looks at five areas of cognitive aptitude: anatomy, physiology, math, reading comprehension, and EMS knowledge, as well as evaluating the affective domains.

Since the publication of that edition, the AAOS and Jones & Bartlett Learning have worked together to transform all levels of EMS training, from emergency medical responder to paramedic. Today, in partnership with Jones & Bartlett Learning, the AAOS’s commitment and dedication to excellence has transformed how EMS education is delivered throughout the world and helped develop and train countless world-class EMS providers.
More than 45 years later, this acclaimed resource continues to set the standard in EMS education. Learn how at www.EMT11e.com.

ECSI Courses and Materials
Manuals, eBooks, and Pocket Guides
Our highly developed, full-color student manuals feature the latest medical content and are filled with tips and tools to help your students succeed. ECSI’s manuals are also available in electronic (eBook) formats to provide an economical and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional printed manuals. Finally, our pocket-sized guides are available for first aid and CPR refresher training.
Online Courses
Each online course can be used as an interactive supplement to reinforce what students have learned in the classroom, or as a distance learning platform where students can complete the knowledge-based component of the course online, then complete hands-on skills evaluations with an instructor.
Nationally Recognized Digital Course Completion Cards
ECSI provides a digital course completion card with the purchase of one of these four items: student manuals, student eBooks, online course access codes, pocket guides. The digital course completion card can be sent via email to the student who completed the course and/or the student’s employer. It can also be printed out by the instructor and issued to students at the training location.

“I haven’t taught one person that didn’t say to some degree or another that they loved the training and
the material. And even how much more they liked the ECSI course above others they had taken part in.
The customer service is wonderful. I used to maintain all four of my certifications with other organizations, but
from now on I will only be offering ECSI through my personal training center.”—Patrick Gosnell, Emergency Care Training, Liberty, NC

Understanding the Latest Evidence-Based Research
is Fundamentally Important to Keeping
Fire Fighters Safe
FIRE FIGHTER
59
Over the last 15 years, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) have conducted controlled fire research scenarios in specially constructed laboratories and in actual houses. As a result, these institutions have been able to demonstrate that many widely embraced firefighting concepts and tactics must be reconsidered and revised in order to operate safely in today’s fire environments. The National Institute of Standards and Technology and Underwriters Laboratories research focused largely on fire behavior and techniques for ventilation, fire suppression, and search and rescue as a result of the changes in modern building construction and furnishing materials. As a result of these changes, today’s fires release energy faster, reach flashover potential sooner, may reach higher temperatures, and are much more likely to become ventilation-limited than building fires of even a few years ago.
The all new Enhanced Third Edition of Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills: Evidence-Based Practices is the first and only Fire Fighter I & II textbook to cover this groundbreaking research. Important updates have been incorporated into content related to:
• Ventilation and flow paths• Basement fires
Together, Jones & Bartlett Learning, the National Fire Protection Association, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs are improving fire fighter safety with the ground-breaking content now found within the Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills: Evidence-Based Practices training system.
• Applying water and coordinating fire attack• Rescue and safety considerations
