11671 1/48 Beechcraft T-34A/B & C Mentor During the post-war years the US military recognized a need for a cost effective “higher perfor- mance” aircraft capable of good speed and maneuverability with gentle flight characteristics for training new pilots. Funding was scarce so the U.S. military turned to Beechcraft Aviation to modify their successful Bonanza into a tandem seat military trainer. This new 1/48 scale Mini- craft kit boasts all new tooling and includes detailed cockpit and sliding canopy, position-able landing gear and high quality decals printed by Cartograf with 2 marking options. 14701 1/144 C-47A “Gooney Bird” on Floats Originally designed and operated as the DC-3 airliner before WWII, the venerable C-47A was the DC-3 in military service. The C-47A served in every theatre of operation in WWII carrying cargo, pas- sengers and paratroops. The C-47A remained in service long after the end of WWII and was a com- mon sight in U.S. military service in post war service. The new Minicraft C-47A features new tooling for floats used on the C-47A enabling the aircraft to take off and land from both land and sea. Initially installed on a select few C-47A’s the unique amphibian was sold to private ownership after World War II. The new Minicraft “Gooney Bird on floats features both USAAF Military markings and mark- ings for the aircraft used in revenue service. 14725 1/144 LC-130 The C-130 Hercules first entered service in the mid-nineteen fifties. Throughout its service life the Hercules was recognized to be among the most efficient and reliable air transport in US Air Force inventory. The C-130 was adapted for use in harsh Arctic and Antarctic regions by adding skis for operation from snow and ice covered landing strips. More recent modifications include engine and propeller modifications best recognized by the unique 8 blade propellers. The new Minicraft LC-130 features new tooling for skis and optional use of the 8 blade propellers as seen on the latest C-130J outfitted to operate in extreme cold. The kit includes 2 marking options and high quality decals printed by Cartograf. 14702 1/144 E-6 Mercury USN At the dawn of the jet age the B-707 was among the most advanced aircraft of the era. Commercial 707 aircraft types were used by many airlines and some B707’s were bought by the USAF for prior- ity transport of high-value material and VIP transportation. The last commercial production of the B-707 was purchased by the United States Navy and equipped with advanced avionics high efficien- cy engines and was used for advanced high level communication with the ISBN force and high com- mand of the US Navy. The new Minicraft E-6 represents the last of the B-707’s produced and includes new engine tooling, unique E-6 antennas and sensors and 2 US Navy aircraft marking options.
