2015 Newest Hog Riders Attack Strategy at Town Hall 9 War Base - Goplay.com This article will show you how to hog raid TH9 war base with 3 star.
I know that air units are the usual army formation to 3 star a TH9 war layout,
but this guy deploys the hogs so wisely that I can't help sharing with you. Here
are the examplification with game screenshots.
Base scout:
- both King and Queen are in the core, as well as clan castle and town hall.
(yellow stars)
- both X-Bows(marked in orange circles) are configured to target ground units
- possible positions of spring traps, double giant bombs, telsas are labled in
red
This is an anti-hog war layout. So normally we'd attack from position marked in
blue, since traps would be more densely and more reasonably placed there.
But that would cost too many hogs, so in this strategy, things will be a bit
different than the usual deployment tactic.
Army composition:
- 30 Hog Riders (level 5)
- 3 Balloons (level 6)
- 8 Wizards (level 5)
- 10 Archers (level 6)
- 1 Barbarian (level 6)
- Queen (level 9)
- King (level 10)
- 1 Witch (level 2)
- 1 Golem
- 2 Jump Spells (level 2)
- 3 Healing Spells (level 6)
Attacking:
- Deploy 2 Balloons to take out the archer tower, then 1 Ballon to aim at the
mortar.
Note: the AD behind would lock on to 2 Balloons, so the other Balloon can do
its work and destroy the mortar. At the same time, cc troops and the Queen is
lured out.
Note: the attacker choosed to start at this direction.Because it's nearer to the
Queen. In this particular war, the defending cc troop is a Lava Hound. Lava is
very lurable, but remember try to destroy it outside the base and not inside,
because the lava pups it divides into would ruin your force who's under them.
- At the same time, cc troops and the Queen is lured out. Put a Barb and
Archers to drag the lava to the corner
- Drag the lava even further with 3 Wizards, then the Queen and 1 witch.
Note: the witch here is to act as a meat shield. When the witch is down, she
would divide into some skeletons. Skeletons would rush ahead. The
lava hound would then lock on to them and not the wizards and Queen. That
would give time for wizards and Queen to take down the hound.
-When the hound is down and divides into pups, they would attack Barches
and not the wizards and Queen first. As they are flanked by archeres and
barbarians and skeletons.
- Put the Golem, the King, and drop a Jump Spell for them to enter the walls.
- Deploy 3 hogs a team, each aim at one tower.
Note: this area is densely placed with defenses, so it won't be wise to send
hogs in one single large group. Divide the hogs into teams. Those who run fast
would trigger giant bombs (red circles). So that the teams behind can go safe
into the core.
- Drop 1 Healing Spell when the hogs get to the double giant bombs.
Note: At the same time the king would be ramaging in the cell. As you can see
from the picture, when they are almost done, the right side of this base is
ruined. Now we can tackle the left side.
- Divide the remaining hogs into 3 groups and deploy them in 3 directions to
surround the defenses in this area.
Note: deploy the hogs in the order as labled in the picture. When team 1 finish
the archer tower, they would jump to the X-Bow and trigger a giant bomb or
spring traps. By the same way team 2 would trigger another giant bomb. So
when team 3 get to the core, they are safe from traps and bombs.
- Drop a Healing Spell on the hogs when they get to the Giant Bombs.
- Drop another Healing Spell on the hogs when they are cleaning the last
remaning buildings.
This is by far the most deft hog raid I've seen at a Town Hall 9 trophy base. I
hope you find it enlightening as I do.
