CHICKASAW NATIONBUTTERFLY ART CONTEST

The Chickasaw Nation announces its 2017 Dynamic Women of the Chickasaw Nation Conference Butterfl y Art Contest. Symbolic of the beauty,

inspiration and determination of Chickasaw women throughout history, a butterfl y serves each year for artwork on the materials promoting the event.

Artists must be female Chickasaw citizens, ages 14 through 18. One piece of artwork, in a medium of the artist’s choice, may be submitted on art paper,

canvas or art board, between 10 and 20 inches in size.

The annual conference, conducted by the Chickasaw Nation Arts & Humanities Division, recognizes the strength and leadership of Chickasaws and women

from all walks of life.

The 2017 winning artist will receive a $500 cash award.
