Pool Party August 23 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM (or longer)
This year for our pool party, the HOA Board of Directors has agreed to offer ribs and
chicken quarters to our residents as the main dish. We encourage those attending to
bring a side dish, dessert, bread, etc for others to share. Since ribs and chicken
quarters are an upgrade from hamburgers and hot dogs, the following procedures will be
implemented:
(1) In order to have enough food for all, you MUST sign up as attending with the number
of persons.
(2) Names will be checked off at the door and a ticket will be given for each person.
(3) ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE SIGNED UP WILL BE GIVEN A TICKET!!!
(4) Non-resident guests are welcome to join us for a cost of $3.00 per person
(guests will also receive a ticket)
(5) This ticket is to be presented at the time you get your meal
(6) Only those who have a ticket will be allowed ribs and/or chicken, however, if you have
not signed up, and there is any left, you will be welcome to it.
We are sorry if this procedure may prove to be an inconvenience, but with the cost of
ribs and chicken, we are making every effort to control and limit any waste. Thanks for
your cooperation.
Tickets will be required for ALL Residents and Guests.
A Message From the President...
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope this note finds everyone enjoying
their summer amidst vacations, visiting with
family and friends, and the beautiful summertime weather. Summer has
been warm here in Florida, as you would expect, and the afternoon showers
have returned on nearly a daily basis although LHV has not received the
quantity of rain that other parts of the state have.
As we get closer to the fall, it's time to start thinking of elections for the
Board of Directors. Currently, we have three members whose terms will be
ending. They are: Sharon Bowden- 1 year term
Marilyn Smith- 2 year term
Clark Smith- 2 year term
I would like to ask all residents to consider running for one of the positions
on the board. As a Board of Director member you will be asked for your
input into the decision making process as it relates to the HOA. You will be
asked for ideas and suggestions that will allow the HOA to more effectively
fulfill its obligations and duties to its members. If interested, please
contact a current member for any questions you might have or if you would
like to have your name on the ballot. We would like to establish a list of
interested candidates no later than October 1.
Finally, a quick comment regarding the HOA. The HOA exists FOR the
homeowners of Lake Hammock Village. It assists and plans numerous
activities throughout the year and is constantly looking for new ideas. It
represents the homeowners in negotiations with management and the
owners, especially as to rent increases. In order to continue to be
successful, the HOA needs people to get involved as Directors and
Officers. Please consider “throwing your hat into the ring”.
Until next month...enjoy the rest of your summer.

“Community Reporter” It is with great
pleasure that I announce we have two
volunteers to serve as our Community
Reporter(s). Stephanie Strom and Marion
Spiegel have each volunteered to serve in
this capacity. Stephanie and Marion will be
calling on various residents in the community
for the purpose of interviewing them in
regards to what brought them to Florida,
where they are from, interesting facts from
their lives, military service, etc. Our
reporters will then write an article about
the resident to be published in the “Gator
Tales”. This will allow all of us to get to
know our friends and neighbors better and
learn some very interesting facts about
them. The HOA would like to thank
Stephanie and Marion for volunteering to
undertake this task and should you have any
information to offer regarding suggestions
of individuals for them to interview, please
contact Stephanie at (407)201-1525 or
Marion at (863)422-1570.

Thank you
I want to thank the HOA in general and Clark and Joice
Smith in particular for the inspirational and patriotic
Memorial Day program on 25 May. As the 2015 Veteran
Honoree, I was surprised by the Navy inspired plaque
(with the FEMALE sailor…a really nice touch) and the
sincerity and emotion felt by all. The food was great
too. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Hats off to all for the super Fourth of July cook-out.
Thank you management and to all who helped.
