Back in 1985 when we started, no one dreamed you could operate a world-class bike brand out of New Zealand, and definitely not one that could deliver uncompromised performance, style and value.

Well, we never worried too much about what others said couldn’t be done.

For over 25 years, we’ve pushed the design and innovation to stay out in front. We call this approach ‘Avanti Design Technology’. It’s what the ADT insignia means on your bike and it’s what gives you and us the edge.

We can now be found in 8 other countries and underneath some of the world’s best cyclists. Getting athletes on top of the podium is only the start though. Our goal – the thing that gets us out of bed in the morning (other than the alarm clock for our morning ride) – is to get more people, everywhere, riding.

We want people to have more fun, spend more time with their family, get fitter, look after the planet better, travel, meet people, participate and compete at every level.

We support and help develop talented local athletes and community cycling events. We also work with other organisations to grow cycling as a whole.

When you’re this close to the real people who ride, it can’t help but come through in everything you create.

26” – 27.5” – 29”? It’s all about the right fit! Choosing a bike should be based on the best fit for the rider and its intended use. Frame size and geometry are only two factors to consider when purchasing a bike. The wheel size will influence fit and feel and overall comfort that the rider experiences, especially with the relatively recent introductions of 29” and now 27.5”.

26” wheels are the traditional size for all mountain bikes and have dominated the market for years. They are quick to get rolling, cater to riders of all sizes and adaptable for any off road use.

29” wheels arrived on the scene and quickly became the first choice for racers, with their stable ride and ability to roll over rough terrain with ease. For sport riders these characteristics make a 29er an inviting option, however these big wheels also mean a bigger bike which can result in issues with achieving the right fit.

27.5” wheels have been in use in some European markets for many years but it is only now that the benefits of this versatile wheel size have been fully recognised with, in our view, a global market explosion set to change the way we roll!
