Proceeds from the Accent on Architecture Gala directly support the work of the American Architectural Foundation and its three international design centers:

�� The Center for Design & the City is an international platform for the development and implementation of innovative urban forms that promote economic, social, cultural, and environmental vibrancy. Its efforts coalesce at the intersection of design, public policy, and technology and contain such nationally recognized programs as the Mayors’ Institute on City Design and Sustainable Cities Design Academy.

�� The Center for the Advancement of Architecture recognizes, leverages, and ampli-fies architecture’s capacity to elevate the quality of life. Its diverse portfolio includes the Accent on Architecture Gala, AAF’s national design leadership awards programs, and Design for Learning, an initiative to support innovation in K–12 education through the development and implementation of next generation learning environments.

�� The Center for Design & Cultural Heritage promotes the role of significant cultural and historic resources in creating more vibrant, sustainable, and economically robust communities. Its programs have helped to preserve, protect, and restore more than 1,300 of the United States’ most iconic structures, landscapes, artifacts, and traditions, and it also serves as an international hub for the exploration of best practices and the cross-cultural exchange of ideas.
